The perfect Iphone match. October 26, 2007 After purchasing three other cables that proved dissapointing, I finally found one that worked. While the other cables did fit, they all had dissapointing sound quality. Those that seemed fine at first, did not last long, and I am not one to abuse my electronics. I use this to connect my Iphone to my car's Aux. port and the sound is great! I highly recommend this product! The only drawback is that it is a little long, but I can deal with that.
awesome cable October 21, 2007 I brought this cable so I can connect my GPS and cell phone to my car audio. This is a shielded cable and it works perfectly without any pickups from engine and other electrical noise. The cable has a quality feel to it.
Creating/Maintaining a Standard Would Be Nice October 4, 2007 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
If one owns an iPhone and want to use it as an iPod in an automobile with an AUX input, the only other choice is to attempt to lengthen the tip of a "standard" cable by removing some of the plastic which mates the cable to the male tip. I elected not to do this, and paid for a cable that fits. Why one has to do either (cut or buy) is beyond the scope of this review. The real alternative is to use an iPod that accepts the standard mini-stereo cable...
I Phone AUX Cable September 23, 2007 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Needed a cable to use in my car's AUX jack for the Iphone. Of course, the AUX cable for an IPOD does not work for the iphone. My only complaint is I wish it were black - otherwise it seems just too long at 6 ft but it does what it i supposed to do.....
A Tad Long for Auto Use August 3, 2007 21 out of 21 found this review helpful
There is no need to get the Belkin iPhone audio adapter if you get this cable - it is already iPhone ready. I have a car that has an audio input jack for .mp3 players, including iPod. With this cable, I have no problem and need no adapter to hear the music on my iPhone, and when I get an incoming call, the music dims to silence and I can answer via my bluetooth headset or just pick up the phone.
While it might make sense for home stereo use, who needs 6 feet of this cable for use in your car? There is so much extra cable, it's silly. I have a 'panic bar' above the glove box, so I have wound the extra length of cable here... to keep it from hanging low where a passenger could accidentally yank it w/ their foot, potentially damaging the audio jack, cable or the iPhone itself.
I suppose the length of cable is supposed to make you feel better for having spent this much on a cable. The ends are nice quality and pretty sturdy and the thick cable is nicely insulated, less likely to have interference from crimping.
My less than perfect rating is that there should be an option for shorter lengths - or at least it should come with a winding system.
