This cable worked fine... while it worked. About a month of regular use, and I was having to shimmy the connectors in order to hear the music in stereo. Not long after that, the connection didn't work at all. I purchased a new, cheap, non-retractable cable, and it has been going strong since I replaced this one.

It's a thin cord, but it seems like the best one out there for the cost. It sounds great with my car speakers, and I love that I can leave it in the car plugged in without the cord getting stepped on!!!

If you're looking for a retractable patch cord for use in your car or anywhere else for that matter, this is the one. It has a flat cord which helps keep the retracting device tangle-free. And, it looks good, too. In fact, I keep it plugged into the aux jack in my car all the time. Actually, we have this little ditty in all three of the cars in our family. Good price, too.

I knew the rewind feature was a bit lacking, per other people's reviews ; but I could not find a better-rated 'cord'.
Really, it works fine. I will not be lengthening it to its' max, anyway, so it ought to last a ~long time.
^^Kind of like a cheap(er) tape measure...don't pull it out all the way !!^^
Other reviews will give details as to max length, rants, etc.
I would buy this again, though, knowing what I know now.

Good price and easy to use. I like that the cord retracts neatly. There's a trick to using it correctly. You must pull out both end at the same time and the same amount. That's it!
On one hand, I'm wary because the last cord I bought must have frayed inside or something because it would intermittently only put sound out through the left channel. I paid at least twice as much for it than this item. I hope this one lasts longer. But, on the other hand, it was cheap enough that it won't kill me to buy another. Anyway, happy with it so far.
