Great Plugs As Expected January 13, 2008 These banana plugs feel worthy of their price. They're simple to use and stackable if you need that capability. They're quite well-made and get the job done. Great choice for anyone looking for flexible, quality, and reusable banana plugs. Just beware that if the plugs are exposed that there's the potentially for a short circuit or electrocution while power is fed though them.
a must have product November 22, 2007 these bananna clips are escellent, they perform flawlessly and fit perfectly. it is much better than just ppushing the wire into the tiny wholes. they are equal to the more expensive clips. i have an onkyo reciever, ce player and boise speakers and they work perfectly. i would recommend them and a must have.
Great Product November 4, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
For $3-4 a piece, you can't get much better. I ordered 14 to run a 7.1 setup. Easy to install (follow the directions of the other reviews). About the only problem I had is the Cerwin Vega CVHD speakers need a low profile banana plug when using the wall mounting brackets. I didn't know this when I ordered them. My mistake. Now I need to look for some low profile plugs for the speaker end of the wire. These work great on the receiver end.
Check receiver first August 8, 2007 0 out of 19 found this review helpful
These don't work for the type of connections my receiver has. I have an older receiever with just the box connections that you push the wire through the small hole and then close the clamp. These DO NOT fit in the small hole, and even if they did, the connections are so close the clips would touch. I wasn't going to let 40 dollars go to waste. I grinded down the connector ends to fit in the small holes in my receiver, then I plan on using electrical tape around them so they don't make contact with each other. Otherwise the only wire that will fit is like 16 g minimum. Crap receiever.
Great quality July 6, 2007 Price is really good. I like the fact that you can connect from the rear or side. Bad thing is there are no instructions, which is ok for side connections, but I was concerned on the rear connection if it would be good enough. Everything works great, so this is what I did for rear connections: feed twisted wire (14 gauge in my case) through the male end piece and fold the wire over (just enough to avoid the threads or you'll have a hard time screwing it into the female piece. Then connect the two together (with the cylinder looking piece in the female side). Very snug and system sounds great. Even at 14 pairs (7 left over pieces of the 14 gauge wire) it was cheaper than buying Audio cables.
