Man, this is one fun game but kinda hard to control... Geeezzz, each time after finished playing this game, both of my hands are sore and I have a stiff back. Nevermind, this game is really fun!!!
I like the race and fight game within the square ring, so much fun when I beat up my friends and saw the monkeys falling down from the sky..... dooooooooooooooo o o o o o o o o o ' ' ' ponk------!
Great for the entire family! November 28, 2005 6 out of 7 found this review helpful
I have a 7 year old boy and 11 year old girl. This is something that the whole family can play together. It's a blast. Even my husband enjoys it. We love to play the target and racing game. You play against eachother so it's a great game that all 4 of us can play. I highly recommend this game!!!
Just simply FUN November 9, 2005 6 out of 7 found this review helpful
my favorite game on this game is the MONKEY TARGET it will leave you playing for hours it is sooooo fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you launch your monkey ball off the ramp and open your ball up so you can fly. you try to land on a variety of targets. varying from 10-300 points. my highest score was 1897. IF YOU NEED A GAMECUBE GAME FOR YOUR KIDS I DEEPLY RECOMEND THIS ONE!!!!
Second Best Multiplayer Game I've Played November 1, 2005 2 out of 4 found this review helpful
One. because its pretty cheap for such an awesome game. And Two. because there is no end to the amount of fun you can have.
Oh, the Best Multiplayer is hands-down Super Smash Bros. Melee
Billiards and Bowling anyone? August 31, 2005 4 out of 8 found this review helpful
I must first say that without the Billiards and Bowling side games, each of my ratings would have been at least two stars lower. I just cannot give a quality rating to a game which sets up scenarios which are absolutely impossible. Anyone who has played this game knows that there are a few "passages" on the expert and advanced levels which cannot be completed.
Considering the little spare time I have in my life, don't dangle carrots in front of me when you know I can never reach them.
The main game of Monkey Ball is at first challenging, and certainly unique, but, especially in this first addition, it quicky becomes monotonous and frustrating as you find yourself always taking the easy routes to defeat levels, considering the difficult routes are, literally, impossible.
Still, when you earn enough playing points, you can unlock Monkey Billiards and Monkey Bowling. Let me state right here that Monkey Bowling is an undisputed top contender for best multi-player fun on any system. The physics and playability are quite realistic, and the benefits of playing a video game version of bowling in which you chuck bowling balls with monkeys inside rather than the stale, stereotypical black version, simply cannot be expressed in words. Once you become a master at monkey bowling, it never ceases to be enjoyable to contest friends in matches as well as play individually to try and make the top 5 leader board.
Monkey billiards is a side game I have recently become obsessed with, and like bowling, offers astoundingly realistic physics and gameplay. One drawback is that nine ball is the only pool game offered, but I have found that playing nine ball on this game has catapulted its position on my "favorite pool games to play in real life" list.
Overall, the benefits of this cheap game cannot be denied. While the main game and the annoyingly challenging Monkey Golf will find themselves forever neglected by this player, Monkey Billiards and Monkey Bowling will live on as perfect multiplayers, and fantastic single-players when complimented with a nice heavy metal backdrop for the audio, and an atomic cocktail to create that real pool hall/bowling alley ambience.
