2 out of 5 stars Very Monotonous   June 15, 2006

I bought this game a few weeks ago expecting a game I could play all summer. I got bored with it in three days. All you do on this game is tell your Sim to eat, sleep, go to work, take a shower, use the toilet, and watch TV. While your Sim is at work or sleeping you watch the time go by. The graphics are horrible. You can hardly see your Sim. The only fun things in this game are that you get to build your houses and make out with girls. You do the same things every day. Don't waste your money on this game. The Sims 2 is much, much better.

Ok well I got thins in christmas 06 and it was great at first! I played non stop. Dont get me wrong its a great game but i would definatly suggest the sims 2 over this. For one thing your sims dont grow up and will always stay the same age but can die though from getting burned from cooking and things like that. And when your sim has a baby butterfly will just spin around and then theres a random crib right there! The sims can get promoted in jobs which is pretty cool and they get different salerys. Your sims are really "under aged" and never seem to take care of themselves. You always have to do it for them. I really do like this game but wouldnt suggest buying it when now there is the sims 2 which is alot more lifelike.

The sims is an incredible game.. It really feels like you are playing yourself in the computer, but except for a few things, whenever they are in need of something and you order them to do it before they need the "need filled" they will turn around and immediatedly delete what you told them to do, and they just stand there and wave for a loong time, I couldn't imagine doing that for five minutes..

And one of the bad things.. The graphics are the most low-detailed graphics I have ever seen in games. They look kind of like cartoons. But when you upgrade to the sims 2 or the sims on console, they all look incredibly real. And another bad thing, you CANT have a third floor, and you really can't get close up to your sims to see their faces. And I mostly like games with good graphics.

And also, the create-a-sim was a little weird for me, I really couldn't see the sim that much. But that doesn't matter anymore unless you buy a dive and do a dive and you'll be able to see your sims, and notice that they are actually flat.

Oh well. The sims 2 is a huge improvement to this, but if you don't really like highly detailed games, I recommend this game.

The first sims i have played was simcity 3000 and [...] I hated it caz i never had enough money...anyways the second one i tryed was with my friend at her house..it was called sims 2 in which was alot better than that other [...] i played...well now i went to a birthday party and started playing this game sims deluxe edition...and it rocked! i was shocked that it was better than simcity 3000 but it was and that is a good thing. In this game i had made my own family with two kids and i made where they lived and what they did most of the time. i had the dad working the kids went to school and the mom cleaned the house. I had sooooo much fun that i wanted to buy so i asked my parents if they could get it for me since i am quite broke. lol. well they are suppose to get it soooooon...and i can't wait i am having a major craving for the game...ugh...i want the game so bad that you could call me addicted!
