Not all its rated to be March 20, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this game with my DS but i must admit its my least favourite game so far. I looked for games with relatively good reviews and high ratings but this games is not all that its rated to be. It's very repetative. the only way i would really play this game is if the i played out the other six games i bought and was snowed into my house without an internet connection to order another game. I was disappointed
Cook-a-riffic March 8, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This game is really great. The beginning recipes are easy, but they get harder as you unlock new ones. I always am exited when I get to see what new things they have you cook. The combination mode also lets you be creative with the recipes, letting you make a more unique dish. The graphics are also really cute. It is just a really good game to unwind with. The skill mastry levels are also quite challenging once you get into them.
Not for lefties! March 4, 2008 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I had read previous reviews about this game and noted that people had commented that the game isn't very left-handed friendly, though some reviews said otherwise. I decided to go ahead and try it out because the game itself looked intriguing. The majority of reviews were right--this game isn't for lefties! The set-up of the kitchen and the direction that items need to be added or moved or chopped is all completely backwards and at times difficult to maneuver with the stylus in the left-hand. As a lefty I am used to this but I was hoping for something a little better.
As for game play, the game is OK. The graphics aren't much and the mini-games get repetitive very, very quickly, however the game itself is addicting. If it weren't for the bronze, silver, and gold coins awarded based on performance, I would have stopped playing this a long time ago (and I just got the game yesterday).
I see this game being good for young children as it (and other DS games) develop fine motor skills used for writing (though some reading is required). I can see how younger children (7-13 or so) would love this game.
An fantastic game February 10, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My Daughter says . . . This game is absolutely fun!!! :) For a 10 year old I love this game! I think its the most fun I had since my game boy. If you are looking for a gift, this is good one! There is lots of diffrent food you can cook over and over! and lots of food that looks good to eat! Some are easy and some are hard. You can decorate some too! Overall I love it! Suited for anyone 8 and up, even adults!!!

When i first got this game i wasnt sure what to think about it. But the more i played it the more i was surprised that i actually liked it and couldnt put it down!
it can be fun to make all the different types of food and to see how well you do at it and what your score is after each one.
