Good game, but occasional random crashes June 23, 2008 Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy Good PC game, with excellent graphics. However, at random times the game crashes in Windows XP Professional (Media Center edition) with a pop-up to report the problem to Microsoft. Technical support from the vendor provides a "cop-out" response that perhaps the video card drivers are not up to date. In my case, they are, but the crashes continue.
A great game June 20, 2008 as with thew first Lego Star Wars this game is simple enough for children to play yet has a play style that will entertain adults. it is well written with fun missions and very few truly difficult puzzles or maneuvers to solve. Re-playability is built in with the free play mode that will allow you to bring other characters into a level to reach new areas and complete goals that cannot be done in the first pass.
i highly recommend this game.
pretty good, but not the best June 18, 2008 this game is pretty good when you start playing until you get to about the middle of the bounty hunter part, and get one of the ghosts(takes a long time). then you have to get about 60 gold bricks to get to Lego City. then it gets kind of boring. I've had it for like 2 1/2 years, I haven't even got to Lego City yet!
Love it May 17, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I love this game and have been through each level many times (except the timed super story - I don't work well against a clock.) With the free play it is playable more than once. The cut scenes are humorous! Better than the Star Wars lego game for Episodes 1-3.
Lots of casual fun May 13, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
LEGO Star Wars II is one of the best casual games I've played in years. The combination of Legos and video-games, which I thought was odd at first, works amazingly well. It has the feel of the old Mario games.
The graphics are great, smooth, and gameplay is a lot of fun. There's no challenge in this one, though. If you die you're instantly respawned, only losing a couple of coins you can even get back. It's great for when you just want a casual break from challenging games. Definitely one for "kids of all ages".
If you like the original Star Wars movies, you'll often find yourself smiling at the exaggerated humour of the cutscenes.
One reviewer has said that you can't save the game, but that's not correct. The game instantly saves after each level finished. You can't save during the levels, though, but because they are so easy, and relatively short, that's not a problem at all.
I've also seen people mentioning technical issues. I understand it's nearly impossible to test games for all configurations available these days, but it runs very well on my settings, which are a P4 3.4 ghz on an Intel board, 2 gb of RAM, and a GeForce 7900 GT.
