Very good game with a few minor bugs July 22, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is, overall, a very nice golf game. It will keep you (and probably those who didn't like golf before) entertained for a long time. The WII swing mode, although not very realistic, is a very fun way to play the game. For those that have already played any of the Tiger Woods series, this game will seem natural. About 90% of what I play is multiplayer mode. If not the game gets a bit boring
A few things with the game: -The penalty drop options are zero....most of the times this won't be a problem but other times its just ridiculous -Spin control is (in my opinion) exaggerated. This game isn't about reality..but sometimes spin control is incredibly exaggerated
Now, the real problem: this game is FULL of small bugs. Here are somethings that happened to me more than once: -After making a hole in one, I still get a tap in for birdie -Replays do not always repeat the shot -Bad stroke counting when there are penalties involved -A few times, when trying to chip 10 to 40 yards off the green, there is no flag stick -Bad penalty drop stroke counting -Sometimes your approach shot lands just short of the green. When you go to play it, it's in the bunker
In general this errors no not happen every day so they won't spoil your enjoyment, but it's something EA should take care of.
Tiger's Tour is Tough July 16, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Tiger's Tour 2008 is good once you can get into it. It takes a while to figure out the nuances and additional time to get started. Be sure that you have LOTS of time if you want to play. It is fun when you get the hang of it. Graffics are OK but could be better. Sometimes the controls are a bit questionable and unreliable. Overall, it is fun... I guess I just expected more of Tiger!
Tiger Woods WII Game July 7, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
The game is quite interesting to play. I find it mimicks actual golf strokes very well. Very realistic.
THE MOST FAITHFUL GOLF SIM ON THE PLANET!!!! June 27, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
After being a little disappointed with Wii Sports Golf and Super Swing Golf 2, Tiger Woods 2008 (Wii) had me saying, "WOW!" The ball physics are spot on! (The ball actually rolls to a very natural-looking stop instead of looking like it rolled into a sticky substance bringing it to a very unnatural and abrupt halt.) The terrain detail is excellent. But most of all it's the feel that is so amazing. Everything feels perfect. I'm amazed at the way this game interprets my golf swing and putts. It pretty much nails the accuracy rate of my real golf game!!! In other golf games, I would often miss a putt even when I felt I did everything right. In this game, when I miss a putt it's because I truly deserved to miss it - just like in real golf! (You know the feeling.) When it comes to duplicating every facet of the real golf playing experience, this game is incredibly faithful. Even the texture of the grass is so real you find youself effortlessly comprehending the lie of your ball and the break of the greens. The character graphics are less perfect but who cares. The graphics are strong where they count. The "mini putt" game is really nice and will satisfy most miniature golf fans. For the closest thing to playing real golf this is a must have! You won't be disappointed. I highly recommend this excellent golf game!
Woods in the Woods June 19, 2008 This game is way to hard almost so much so that you get frustrated and quit. The shots are never the same. You can't get any good control of the ball and forget the shots using the Wedge clubs! Just to hard to have any fun with it!
