4 out of 5 stars Fun to play   August 9, 2007

As many users here, I owned the PSP version of this game, which was extremely fun and addictive. The PS3 version has several upgrades, but the game remains quite similar. Create a player and start practicing and participating in events to rank up and access more challenging championships.

With an extensive rooster to choose from, you'll soon be hooked up to this game, its easy to learn but it gets really challenging. Graphics are great, and most of the players resemble their life counterparts.

Where this game fails miserably is in the soundtrack. Its a non-stop arcadish tune that drives you insane during the matches, fortunately you can turn it off and enjoy the game.

Another issue is that the game lacks multiplayer option. I must say that it would be really fun to have a world ranking system, but probably to much to ask.

If you like tennis or looking for a simple and fun game to play, get Virtual Tennis.

PROS:
- Great Graphics
- Highly addictive
- multiple languages depending where you play

CONS
- Annoying soundtrack
- No mutiplayer options

5 out of 5 stars Best Game   July 29, 2007
This is the best tennis game in the world. When I first started to play I was instantly absorbed into the world of a tennis pro's life. The game lets you create your own character which you design to look just like you. Then you start your own career as a tennis player. it is your job to practice by playing the many mini games, keep your stamina up by drinking energy drinks and taking vacations, and last but certainly not least, engage your tennis pro in the tournaments occurring all over the globe.

The best thing about Virtua Tennis 3 for me is applying your real life tennis strategy to the game. You can decide how to play the point, (down the line approach shot, cross court return, run your opponent around the court.....) My point is that you get to control how the point ends up in the end.

This is a wonderful game and I highly suggest you buy it. Trust me, You won't be disappointed.

4 out of 5 stars Great fun!!   June 14, 2007

This is a great game the graphics are great, but not mind blowing i think they put all there efforts into the actual players the back ground is a bit poor e.g. the audience look like cardboard cut out's. BUT don't let that put you of, this game is great fun for all ages and the commands are so easy. a must for sport game fans!!

5 out of 5 stars Great graphics, not a hundred buttons to press   June 12, 2007

This is great entertainment, excellent graphics and action. Weak points are the restricted number of players and lack of online gaming. Soundtrack is also annoying, but you can choose to turn it off.

5 out of 5 stars I'm hooked   May 17, 2007

Although there are minor improvements which could be made - overall the game is challenging in all levels - however, too hard to have ton of fun.
It's also one of those games you could play with your gf - as you can play double team or vs. each other.
