The Best Ever June 13, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I first got my Nintendo DS Lite last year as a birthday present. Ihad been wanting one for a very long time, and I was thrilled to have it. Along with it, I got Nintendogs, which was really fun. Anyway, the DS is definitely awesome, with its Pictochat and wi-fi capabilities. The games on it are much funner than with the GBA, like with Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, explorers of time. I would rate this as 10 out of 10!
Very pleased! June 12, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought the DS for myself and I love it! The shipping was SUPER fast, purchased over a weekend and I had it in my hands by Tuesday! I also purchased 2 games on the same day and while I was disappointed they didn't arrive the same day or shipped together, I got them Thursday and was still very happy. Both items were free shipping too which always helps me make up my mind!
I have bought the DS for my daughter, age 9 June 10, 2008 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
My daughter seems very happy with this console, although she had some problems with nintendogs (maybe unrelated to console). She said that she would like better graphics though.
Excellent May 29, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The Nintendo DS lite is an excellent game system for my children. They love the many games that can be played, and take it on road trips to help ease the boredom of a long car drive.
Entertaining but lacking long term play value May 27, 2008 1 out of 4 found this review helpful
Everything worked well as expected. We found it entertaining. We only bought two programs (Brain Games). We did find after a week it no longer fascinated us as it once did. It now sits on the table unused. It just didn't hold our interest. As you use it more and more it adds new tests to your brain "workout." They are creatively done. At the end of the session you are given a "mental age." I question how accurate this is but it was entertaining. We were disappointed to see how it competes one player against the other. When you finish an exercise it may respond with something like "Bill did better than you. Try to pick up your speed." The responses to how you are doing seem to be very limited so after you have seen the same response fifty times they get pretty boring. The play value is high for a few days but because you do the same things over and over it gets old pretty fast. Even with a selection of programs it just didn't do it for us.
