Mario Part DS April 18, 2008 I bought one for each of my two boys. It's a great game to keep them entertained on trips and functions they're not interested in. The DS is portable so they bring it with them whenever they think they are going to be "bored". Highly recommended!
(^ ~ ^) Partys alone with her DS >>> April 17, 2008 Another Mario series thats alot of FUN. My husband and I were talking about how long do you think Mario will prevail in the gaming scene ? Honestly I think FOREVER and hopefully he never dies cuz never have I found a Mario and the gang related game to be BORING. Even this game is alot of FUN when played alone. I spent hours on the living room couch having a blast playing it. My husband was wondering why its so quiet. (^^) If you dont feel like playing the story-mode board game you got plenty of MiniGames and a Puzzle-Mode to play. This is gonna entertain me for a long time. I hope my niece gets herself one so we can party together. :D Definitely recommend it.
Happy Child April 12, 2008 This game was bought for my 8 yr old son. He absolutely loves it!!! I've yet to play it myself, but the Mario games are sure hit
Pretty Good, but there are a few problems April 6, 2008 Mostly, Mario Party DS is absolutely amazing, there are TONS of minigames, and some extra Tetris-like puzzles to play on the side.
But there is one problem, the story mode (the only way to unlock new minigames is by playing which) is pretty boring. As are regular party boards(they are pretty much the same as story mode). I absolutely HATE waiting for all the stupid PC players to go through their turns. Also getting stars in each board is completely unfair.
In older Mario Party games, getting stars may have required some actual thought, now it is only luck. But in between turns you get to play a new minigame, so that is always fun. Don't expect to play the story mode without putting your DS down.
FUN TO PLAY April 6, 2008 I bought this for my 5-year-old son for Easter - he loves it - Alot of action - many this to do.
