dah graphics were rly cutee and pretty.totally great!at first wen playing dah game,it was rly fun.yu get to buy stuff at stores and walk around dah neighborhood talking to ppl.yu could also go fishing.if yu kno dah game animal crossing,it's almost lik that.yu hav your own house and can decorate it too.but maybe i'm lik that,i dunno,i got bored after a while.yu should try and play this game, maybe yu'll lik it rly much.but it's mostly for gurls, cuz of all dah cute graphics.
Bleh March 31, 2008 This game has been sooooooooooooo boring so far. They mayor continuously tells you to do things and more tourists will come and businesses will thrive and so on and still the pace of the game never changes. Money is way too easy to come by so there is no excitement in filling your house with pretty things since it is so easy to do. Making the tourists happy is extremely easy, really the only thing that is enjoyable are the mini games but they are definitely not worth the $30 this game cost I'm going to give the game a few more hours in hopes that maybe at some point it will pick up before I go trade it in :-(
Great if you like Animal Crossing February 2, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I am a big fan of Animal Crossing:Wild World. When MySims DS was released, I was attracted to the cute graphics. I now prefer MySims to AC:WW. The gameplay is deceptively simple in the beginning, but as the game advances, the tasks become more complex.
Your task is to restore a vacation spot to its former glory. To that end, you will meet and assist : the mayor, her son, a police officer, several shop keepers (florist, general store manager, tailor, baker, furniture maker), a fisherman, a ship captain, three park rangers, casino workers, a pilot, and an aristocrat. As you meet and assist these residents, mini games are unlocked (racketball, 3 locations; paragliding, 2 locations; making leis, casino games, fishing, 4 locations; scuba diving, and skydiving.
These mini games are fun, but Scuba Diving (Star Level 4) and Sky Diving (Star Level 5) take a great deal of time to unlock.
I found the graphics, the mini games, and the evolving character storylines to be captivating. I also found the tasks (like filling the fish book) to be somewhat challenging.
This game seems simple, but the first impression is deceptive. There is more to MySims DS than meets the eye.
A good game, much like Animal Crossing January 25, 2008 I was looking for a Sim game so when I saw this I had to have it. Being a fan of the sims from day 1 I'd have to say that this is nothing like them. It's a good game, but very much like Animal Crossing. I personally love the casino, but you can can get that out of a casino game.
MyReview of MySims December 28, 2007 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I bought mySims, even after reading the reviews, because I enjoy just about any Sims game I've ever played. I own Sims 2 for the SP, SimCity for the computer and SNES, and I just bought Sims 2: Castaway and SimCity for the DS.
I throughly enjoy the game. It may not be as advanced as other Sims games but it still has a place. I enjoy easy mind-numbing games when I want to relax and this is definately one. I find the way the Sims look adorable. They're cute, there's just no arguing about it.
The four mini-games I've unlocked so far (racketball, parasailing, fishing, making leis) are all fairly good. I have the most problems with racketball, but I think that is less about the controls then the fact that your playing it on a small screen.
Both of my kids have tried it. My 9 year old had no problems with it, but my 6 year old had a few mostly because he is a beginning reader. The only thing I would caution a person on who is buying this is too make sure your buying it for a child who can read.
Overall, if you enjoy other Sims games I would reccommend this game.
