great if it works March 28, 2008 This product works very well for my Wii and DS. It is small, and installation is easy. The product does have a tendency to get very hot during game play. The only reason that I didn't give this product 5 stars is because it has a lot of potential compatibility issues.
Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector March 26, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have MS XP(SP2) on my computer. I own A Wii & A DS Lite. I purchased this product to get my gaming systems online since I was unable to setup with my wireless net work alone. It works very well for me so far!!! F.Y.I. There is a software upgrade available on the Nintendo website for vista users however, I can not give any advice on that since I am not useing vista.
Great at first March 12, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I just got mine today and haven't had any problems, even with the Vista operating system after I downloaded the new software from Nintendo's website the only thing is that it does get hot after a while and you need to turn off your firewall when instaling it but it runs great :)
*UPDATE:* I have since had mine for about a month now and now I had to uninstall the files then restart my computer and reinstall them each and every time that I want to use it (at least with my own experience anyway).
I waited for such a long time to be able to use the online setup at home through this so I didn't have to go sit in McDonalds in order to use it but now I see why its not even supported by Nintendo anymore.
If you can get a wireless router at home then I recommend getting one of those instead of shelling out the money for this junk unless you want to go through this same process each and everytime you want to enjoy the really great online play that the DS has to offer.
Headaches March 4, 2008 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
I got the USB wireless connector and it installed and works just fine. I did have to install it without my windows firewall to get it to install. But it worked just fine with my DS games. But the wireless connector gave me the biggest headache, and made me dizzy--so much that I'm not using it again. What a waste of money.
Solution for non-wireless connection March 3, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I do recommend the wifi connector... it's very useful and works just fine. I just can't give it 5 stars because 1) sometimes the wii takes a little time to get connected throught it! i don't know why but for some 5 minutes both say that no one is connected! 2) because it gets really, really hot since connected! so, you need to connect it JUST when you are going to use it... otherwise, unplug it from the pc!
