Indispensible if you watch blu-rays June 28, 2008 Very nice remote, works well. Wish that it could power off the Playstation 3. It seems crazy that it doesn't do this. Otherwise happy with it.
Better Experience for Movie Lovers June 27, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Movie Lovers like me can really appreciate this remote for the PlayStation 3. It makes using the PS3 as a BluRay capable home theater video device easy and more intuitive. Especially, if the PS3 is in a setting with non tech savvy individuals (aka your significant other or the rest of your family).
Highly recommended purchase.
Works great. June 23, 2008 Works exactly as it's supposed to. Buttons are easy to use and navigate. Exactly what I wanted.
Great Remote June 21, 2008 This is a very handy option for the PlayStation. If you are going to watch movies this is a must. Once I paired it with the PlayStation it has worked great ever since.
My favorit feature is the dispaly button, it lets you know how long the movie is and how far you are currently in to the movie as well as chapter, resolution etc.
With this remote using bluetooth you don't have to point it at the PlayStation for it to work, you can almost point it in any direction and the thing still works.
BLUETOOTH Might Be a Pain For You June 20, 2008 1 out of 4 found this review helpful
As a grown-up gamer and audio/visual enthusiast I was pleased to see that I could kill two birds with one stone and buy a new gaming system and BluRay player all in one. In one sense, the ability to combine things ended there though because this remote, and its PS3 mate, operate via BlueTooth technology. This sounds appealing because it can go through walls and all that (I don't often watch movies from behind walls) or at least you dont have to point the thing at the PS3 and you can hide the PS3 in a cabinet. But you cannot (unless you want to be Tech McGyver) combine this remote into a Universal remote because the PS3 cannot accept non-BlueTooth input. Most Universal Remotes operate on IR (Infrared), some feature RF (Radio Frequency) none that I know of are compatible with BT (BlueTooth). So you better like this remote if you intend to use the PS3 as your BluRay player, because youll be seeing alot of it.
