 I love my DS! June 28, 2008
It took me a little while to finally get a DS, but I love it! The color of this one is nice because it doesn't really get dirty. It is also a little lighter than some of the other Ninetendo DSs I've seen...

The ds lite is a big improvement from the old ds. The screens are very bright, even brighter than the the psp's screen. The ds plays GBA games too. When you play racing games like mario kart, you can see a top view of the track on the bottom screen, it also has stereo sound. You can also surf the internet if you get a browser(you can buy one from amazon). Now the built in features are a clock, alarm clock, a calender, ds download play(which alows you to download ds games or movies and even games that aren't out yet at a hotspot like wal-mart and gamestop), and race your friends or even download a demo of your friend's game on to your ds! Another built in feature is picto-chat. Picto-chat allows you to chat with your friends up to 75ft. away(my friend and I did 200ft. away). The last thing is the settings. You can set which screen you want to play your GBA games on, set which color you want, and you can put in your name too. There's also a great Wi-Fi feature that on some games allows you to play with people across the world! The ds lite is a great choice for a game system.
Great for Travel Amusement June 25, 2008

Our grandsons, ages 7 and 5, took their DS Lite units with them on a recent week's trip to Californina. They were a great way for them to pass the time in airports, on the plane and in the car. Use of the units proved to be pretty intuitive for them and the units held up well. Was impressed by the staying power of the batteries. They used battery power exclusively and, while we recharged them a couple of times during the week, they never seemed to show any signs of running out of juice. Would recommend this unit. Just be aware it might be hard to put down once you start playing.

Nintendo DS Lite Cobalt / Black
Purchased a Gold one for my grandson in December for his birthday and after 5 months it froze up and would not turn off. I was told I would have to purchase another one because if was not worth fixing. So because my grandson got outstanding grades at school I purchased him a new one Cobalt Blue....after 2 weeks the top screen loses it color at times or will get lines running through it. Hopeful they will cover it under their warranty this time. Now of course my grandson is thrilled with it when it works.
