4 out of 5 stars Great realisim   December 18, 2007
I got this product to enhance my racing setup for GT4. I got the EVO racing seat and the GT25 racing wheel. The amplifier is much larger then it appears in the pictures and yes the fan is kind of loud but the effect is great when it kicks in. I have had a few issues with mine cutting out periodically. Some times I realize it was because I had it set to high and it shut off the seat unit because it got too hot. But I have noticed that sometimes it seems like there is no signal or response from the unit even though I hear base from the sub. One more issue is if you plan to use it with the EVO seats you have to come up with some sort of adapter or shim to make it work. I used a small screwdriver and it filled the gap perfectly and allowed me to tighten it very snug so I can get the full effect. This set up caused the device to be mounted horizontally instead of the designed vertical but I contacted the manufacturer and they told me this would not hinder the performance or harm the kicker. All I can say is when you race with this it really changes the feel and effect of the race.

Unit made hot smells and finally croaked on the fourth day. Up until that point it was sort of fun. Oh well, so it goes. Easy come, easy go.

5 out of 5 stars ROCK YOUR WORLD!   October 31, 2007
I just purchased the Buttkicker last week for only 50 bucks! At first I was skeptical because the price was so low, I did not if it would be a good product or not, but I WAS WRONG! I hooked this bad boy up with ease, no problems, you have to read the instructions carefully though. I attached it to my futon and watched "Pirates of the Carribean" and watching it again for the third time was a whole new experience, the fight scenes and explosions were great! I hear people complain about the noise of the fan, to tell you the truth, if you have your tv up, you can hardly hear it, I can hardly hear it, I thought it was going to be a loud screeching sound, but it's not, you could even cover it with something even you really want to muffle the sound, but again it is hardly noticeable. I even hooked this sucker up to my bed which was really cool and watched more movies. I dont have a video game system yet, so I used a SONY PSP, and it still works great the same, I say if you can invest in one of these, Look for one under 100 bucks, but it is still worth the price!

1 out of 5 stars Buttkicker does not install properly on the Playseat Evolution   September 8, 2007

I'm glad others have been able to use innovative rigging to get the ill-fitting Buttkicker clamp on to the Playseat, but it should be stated clearly to anyone who is lead to order both products together based on Amazon's apparent endorsement:

The Buttkicker clamp does not fit on any of the Playseat Evolution's support bars. The large main support beams are much too large and the pair of underside bars and much too small.

You will end up jerry-rigging the device in some manner if you want it to work, but there is absolutely no way it will work out of the box as intended and there is nothing in the instructions or on Playseat's website to assist you in your make-shift solutions.

Playseat and Buttkicker need to get together and offer an adapter or at least include a FAQ on their website for the many customers lead to purchase both at Amazon's urging.

1 out of 5 stars Only a piece of junk   September 3, 2007

I bought this product with great expectations and enthusiasm. I brought it home, hooked it up, and only 30 minutes later , yes, only 30 minutes later I heard two 'clicks' coming from the amp and everthing stopped. I couldn't believe my eyes that it broke down on the very first day and the very first moments that it operated. I tried to contact the support team of the producer and so far I have not been able to get any positive support. They only keep asking useless questions and that's it. I wanted to return the product and no answer at all. I have lost 100 dollars with this junk so anybody better keep your wallets away from these guys.
