5 out of 5 stars Wii Will Rock You   May 1, 2008
Here's my personal opinion on the Nintendo Wii. First, let me just say that I had to wait 8 months before I could get my Wii last year but it was well worth the wait. It's the best system out there, much better than the 360 or the PS3.

If your a graphics-freak, then go help yourself to any of the systems. True, Wii can't match the PS3 in graphics but the gameplay of the Wii is simply SO much better than Sony and Microsoft. And occasionaly, the graphics of the Wii will stun you by the breath-taking detail of some games. The controls for the Wii are beautiful and so much more fun and interactive with than the normal controllers. But if you want to play with the GameCube then you can go ahead and plug your memory card and controller right in.

For games, Nintendo has really been rocking with its newest additions such as Super Smash Bros. Brawl (an instant classic), Super Paper Mario, Mario Kart Wii, Super Mario Galaxy, and one of the best RPGs out there, Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn (I'd only recommend this is your into RPG stuff). All of these games will keep you up for at least 2 weeks each.

The Wii's also great because it's very interactive with its revolutionary controls and is great with 4 players. Its a great system for the whole family because anyone and everyone can have fun with it. All I can say is that Nintendo really hit one outta the park here.

Unfortunatly, some games for the Wii are very disappointing and boring. I personally didn't like Twilight Princess. Other examples are the Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam and Mario Party 8. MP8 wasn't a bad game, it was just disappointing because of its lack of ussage of the Wiimote and how awful some minigames were. There were some that were really fun and some cool new characters but the game just wasn't any different for Mario Part 6 or 7.

Anyway, if you have any doubts about the price or if it will entertain you I just wanna say that you will be pleasantly surprised. The sound system is pretty good and the gameplay is excellent and very original. Overall, I'd rate it a:

9.5/10
because of its amazingness but allowing the creation of some games so bad you just wanna puke on yourself for buying the game. It is definitly a MUST BUY system and is probably the best system to be out there for at least another 10 years.

5 out of 5 stars Wii Rocks!!!   April 30, 2008
Along with 1000 positive reviews already posted, I want to add mine as well. I am not gamer and hate all the gaming console that makes anyone a couch potato. All these got changed when I first had my try at my friends place. WOW!!! this is very nice where you can actually play with your whole body in motion like in actual game(well, for some games, you can also make it easy by just turning your wrists) This is good. Correction. This is REALLY good. I also pre-ordered the wii-fit at AMAZON (an amazing site that I admire along with GOOGLE) and waiting for it to arrive.

5 out of 5 stars Nintendo Wii Console   April 29, 2008
Great Console with many games to choose from. Brings the family together for a great time. Plaing Wii Sports gives you a great workout from all the moving around. Recommend to all people of all ages and a wonderful family game. I can not wait untill WiiFit is released.

5 out of 5 stars Nintendo Wii Console w/ 5 Sports Games   April 28, 2008
An amazing Family game that brings everyone together for a great time with the Wii console. The 5 games that come with the console are enough that their is no need to buy any more, but things do not last forever. However the online purchasing of classic games is great as well. 5 Stars From The Home of the Penguins!

5 out of 5 stars The Wii has resurrected my love for video games!   April 27, 2008
I've never been much of a hardcore videogamer, but over the years I've accumulated a NES, N64, GameCube, Gameboy Color, Gameboy Advance, Sega Dreamcast, Xbox, PS3, and now a Wii. The Wii has a real nostalgic, but fresh feel to it. The library of games provide the good ol' classic characters with a fun new experience. Up until now the N64 has pretty much been my favorite console I've ever had, but the Wii might replace it's title as my fav.

Pros:
-The new Wii remote makes the game more fun by making you feel more part of the game.
-The console itself is very sleek and stylish.
-It is very small and lightweight, which is good if your spending the night at a friends house and you want to bring it over.
-Its really fun messing around with the Miis, and games like Mario Kart Wii let you play the game as your Mii.
-It has up to four ports where you can use the GameCube controllers and two slots for GameCube memory cards.
-It comes with Wii Sports which help people new to the console get used to the controls, and the mini games are pretty fun.
-The whole family can get involved.
-It has WiFi.
-It's very quiet and does not heat up as much as Xbox 360s and PS3s.

Cons:
-Even though the controls are real cool they are a bit awkward at first and may take some time to get used to.
-It does not support HD. This isn't a problem for everybody, but I have an HDTV and I would have liked to see Mario in high-def.
-In order to get a 480p resolution you have to buy an extra component cable.
-It does not have an ethernet port. I use WiFi, but this is a problem for people who don't have WiFi.
-Graphics. I know it's not a big deal, but for some reason I feel like I'm getting an enhanced GameCube sometimes. I know it was Nintendo's intentions to make the Wii more appealing to families, but when the graphics are not much of an improvement from last gen consoles I feel a bit ripped off.

I definitely recommend the Wii to everyone, with the exception of the hardcore gamers. It's great fun and it's what video games should be. If you loved all of Nintendo's past consoles you will surely love this one.
