huge!useful! September 24, 2008 I have only one thing to say.
I CAN PUT THE UNIVERSE IN.
My Notebook Case September 23, 2008 I had researched notebook cases and decided Targus would make the best one for my needs. When it arrived (very promptly, I might add) it was everything I expected --- plus a little extra. It holds everything I absolutely need to be able to operate my laptop when I travel, and if the trip is short, I can even pack a quick change of top and underwear. Thanks Targus and thanks Amazon
the best one for 17" notebook computer September 23, 2008 A while ago my comapny upgraded my laptop to DELL Precision M90 which is a good one but very heavy on the road with a case. It's ok with a carry case when you transfer at a small airport like Harrisburg,PA. But if it's like Philly or Boston's Logan airport, carrying the case and walk half a mile is painful. So I decided to go with a backpack. This backpack got a good number of people reviewed and with a excellent rating, I want to give it a try when I saw it on the Amazon's today's deal with a attractive price. I am happy with it. My dell laptop fit perfect in this backpack and it still has many pockets for other stuff. The padding is thinner compare to most of the carry case. But the computer is still well-protected. Most important, carrying it is very comfortable.
NOT for 15" widescreen laptops, needs some improvements... September 21, 2008 This backpack is designed and built for 17" laptops. My 15" MacBook Pro doesn't fill the (lightly) padded computer sleeve, and I worry about it flopping around in there during outings.
Also, this pack is CAVERNOUS, almost to the point of absurdity. If I were a student that would be a plus, but I shudder to think of carrying this thing at capacity. One major improvement it needs are load-synching straps on the sides for when it's *not* loaded full of stuff. Anything less than full capacity needs to ride in the first compartment, otherwise the load pulls away from the back resulting in bad posture.
Also, the yoke that crosses between the top of the shoulder straps is to big and digs into the bottom of my neck, preventing the pack from riding high enough to be comfortable. It rides too low, making me stoop when I'm wearing it - even half-full. It does have waist straps, but they are not padded and as such are not the most comfortable.
All that been said, it is a very nice looking and well constructed backpack in both materials and construction. The little nooks and crannies in the outer compartments are *very* handy in keeping small items organized. If I hadn't talked myself out of the 17" MacBook Pro, and if I were a student, frequent traveler, or someone else who needed a FREAKIN' HUGE backpack this would be a higher-rated review.
Excellent Item! September 18, 2008 I got it for my sister-in-law and she was very happy with it. I will recommed it to anyone who is in need of one. Thank You!
