ok, i've had this wheel for over a month, not a day goes by without me or my kids playing with it. i'm a simulator fan GT3, GT4, Fomula 1, etc... the kids like the arcade, drift style games (Midnight Club, Ridge Racer, Rally, etc) We've brought out our older racing titles and tested it for many games. GT4 is the best, because it has the 900 degree option! it may not be too helpful, but its nice to have a little extra room. it goes to 200 degree operation automaticly for other games.
The force feedback is VERY strong! It wouldn't stay on my 8 or 13yr olds lap at all, and we ended up getting the PLAYSEATS EVOLUTION Racing Chair-Seat from Amazon-Target... WELL WORTH THE INVESTMENT! if almost $500 for a chair and controller is out of your pricerange, Get a second job! ITS WORTH IT! And if you are a die hard racing nut like myself, You will not be disappointed...
Before we had the seat, we tried it on a TV tray, Computer desk, Table... ETC... it clamps onto things nicely, but the foot-pedals kept sliding on my best laps and making me lose control! (i'd get too excited, and push it too hard ...LEAD FOOT!) The seat is much better for holding it, Plus - your sitting position is more relaxed.
I passed EVERY LEVEL on the old games that I couldn't beat before! -The Wheel is purely Awesome- I have no -cons- for this unit... I dont use the shifter (i use the paddles in F1 games)... it's a good deal even at over $100!
I dont recomend it for younger kids under 10, it's a very precise controller, and very sensitive foot pedals, it may be "Too Real" for kids who want to jump on it and slide around on mario kart!
Overall, The Controller works PERFECT! and I would BEG you to BEG your mom, or Girlfriend, or Wife(in my case) to Get you THIS and the Seat for Christmas or your Birthday... if she doesn't, she doesn't truly love you! (Yeah! it's That Good!) Tell her I'm using my real name, She can TRUST ME!

This IS the best Playsatation steering wheel. I think its the only wheel besides the G25 that has 900 degree steering which is just great. Lovely with Gran Turimo 4. Also was flawlessly with the PS3 and Gran Turismo HD. Highly Recommended for anyone looking to buy a steering wheel for PS2 or PS3

Yes, this is the Driving Force Pro wheel. Get one and you will find out how great GT4 really is. Get a virtual racing cockpit to go with it and you will be in racing heaven. For a great cockpit, avoid the Playseat and google Bob Earl--a former real car racer who designed an excellent VRC for the wheel at a very good price.

The Driving Force Wheel adds a completely new level to GT4. I will never play another driving game without it.

This is the best wheel for your money. If your game is compatible with 900 degree steering your gaming experience will be awesome. And even if your racing game is only compatible for 200 degree steering you will still enjoy playing with this wheel. You can feel every bump, every crash, you will even feel the wheel start to tremble when you go over 210mph. You have to do no calibrating, the wheel does it by itself when you turn on the PS2. All you need is a little coffee table or something similar where the wheel can clamp to. The gas and brake pedals are very realistic and comfortable, and they come with strip of velcro-like hooks at the bottom so they don't slip.As a racing fan, I can tell you that there is no way this could be better.
