5 out of 5 stars My Review   October 3, 2007
This Sinnoh Pokedex is quite helpful, and I've found there to be a really good release of walk-throughs for the new Diamond and Pearl games. This Volume 2 of the previous Scenario Guide tells you all about which Pokemon you can get in Sinnoh. Theres Mass outbreaks, Pokeradar, and those that show up when you stick one of the GBA games into the slot below. Not only that, but there is a bunch of extra information that could help if you're a die-hard fan to complete the dex and where to find the Legendaries like Cresselia.

All in all, if you want to really complete these games then it might be good to get this.

5 out of 5 stars Best Guide on the Market   September 30, 2007
Tons and tons of great info. Much more thorough pokedex than Nintendo's guide. Everything the other guides have and more! Note: walkthrough only covers endgame, post-elite four.

5 out of 5 stars Outstanding purchase   September 19, 2007
Bought this book in combination with Pokemon Pocket Pokedex (Prima Official Game Guide) for my son's 10th birthday - he is Pokemon crazy. We never see him after school - he's up in his room planning "catching" strategies. Be aware - this book has the newest Pokemon, but is strictly Diamond and Pearl strategy. You will need an Pokedex designed for the older games (like Pokemon Pocket Pokedex (Prima Official Game Guide) or Pokemon 10th Anniversary Pokedex (Prima Official Game Guide) unless you are playing the newest games.

5 out of 5 stars Pokemon Diamond & Pearl Games Guide   September 10, 2007
The book is informative and the infomation is up-to-date.
It's also a good reference as all Pokemon charaters are well described.
It's a real good Pokemon games guide book.

4 out of 5 stars Good book. Shame about the proof-reading.   September 6, 2007
3 out of 3 found this review helpful

I bought this book as, whilst still being a fan of the pokemon games, I haven't been watching the anime, and don't get the time to play the games as much as I would like to, and needed to know a little about all these new pokemon in order to work out my best strategy for beating the game.
The book gives a comprehensive guide to all the pokemon within the series and so is a must have if, like me, you are looking at all these new pokemon and thinking 'what on earth are they?'
It has detailed listings of all the moves each pokemon can learn and when they learn them, however it doesn't list where to find them. However I bought the first book, the pokemon strategy guide, which does detail this. I thought that, well the makers of the book are going to want to get as muh money out of us as consumers as possible and so they won't put everything into one book. This, I have just accepted, and found that the books, when referenced together are highly useful in completing the game.

The one gripe that I would have with this book is the blatent fact that it has not been proof-read. There are many typo's and mistakes in the book, some more major then others, but if you can overlook these they are not important to the usefulness of the book.

Another useful point of the book is, while the pokemon are in, of course, national pokedex order, meaning that evolutionary chains to not neccesarily follow on from each other, there is a handy liust in the front of the book, telling you which page each pokemon can be found on.

Overall the book is worth getting if you need to know more about each pokemon, their types, and what they can do, but if you would rather find this out throughout the course of the game, it may not be as useful.
