The Bigs June 13, 2008
This game has to be one of the best games I have ever played. When I bought the game and started to play it was a little weird at first. Once I actually got used to the game controls then I just took off. Once you start playing the bigs you will not want to get up out of your chair. All you want to do is just play this game. Baseball Games need to be more like this one.

Pareciera que de un juego de baseball no se pudiese agregar mucho, tomando en cuenta que cada juego de este tipo es basicamente igual.
Esta vez 2K se esmero en darle un giro a lo que todas las companias especializadas en deportes nos han venido ofreciendo.
Este juego desde que comienza, te absorbe con cada detalle con los cuales fue trabajado. Desde el inicio puedes disfrutar de un soundtrack seleccionado, pienso yo, para los jugadores que van a adquirir este titulo; desde PRIMUS hasta STONE TEMPLE PILOTS te acompanaran mientras configuras el partido que vas a jugar.
Una vez comienzas el juego podras ver la muy buena calidad de los renders, el sonido, el acting de los personajes cada vez que hacen una jugada, los "extras" de los cuales dispones para dar un batazo descomunal o hacer una atrapada al mejor estilo matrix...
En cuanto al gameplay es muy sencillo, tendras que usar cada uno de los botones de tu control, pero rapidamente te familiarizas.
Algo que no he encontrado tan bueno es que para "cazar" una partida en xbox live tarda un poco, tal vez no muchas personas tienen el juego (seguramente porque no lo conocen).
En definitiva al tener todo estos antecedentes, el raplay value se hace fenomenal, el juego garantiza horas y horas de diversion.

The BIGS is by far the best and most entertaining baseball game I have played for any console. The cartoon style of play brings back memories of Slugfest but turbo and Powerblasts give the game an element of strategy. The timing of hitting the ball is very realistic: must be quick on the fastball but wait on the changeup and so forth. The game is actually quite a challenge when playing legitimate competition, and with the state baseball is in with steroids and huge players the characters look as they should: out of proportion and freakishly big. What I'm most impressed with is that the actual MLB players' faces look just like their characters on the BIGS. Whether you're a baseball fan or not this game is a must own.

Got for the Holdiays from my girlfriend, I enjoy the game, playing in hard mode is the where u really have to play to win. Great game, love the pitching and batting. Fielding is a bit difficult making the over the wall catch, but still great game. One last thing, the game is so fun that I come home to find my GF playing it.

The BIGS is big fun. This is my first baseball game in many many years and I am very much enjoying it.
The rookie creation is awesome. You setup a new player, select a position and team and then play a series of challenges (e.g., 5 inning game or top of 8th and you are down 2 runs). After succeeding in a challenge, you earn points which you can redeem to upgrade the speed, contact, power, arm, or glove for your rookie.
The game does involve some stratgey. When you earn 'turbo' points, you must decide on when to use it....on offense to get a big hit or defense to throw a mean curve ball for strike 3. The same is true when you earn enough points to have big heat or power hitting...which do you use...offense or defense. I will admit this feature is unrealistic as you easily hit a home run that puts a hole in the scoreboard, but it does add a bit of strategy.
The one on one game is also very good. The graphics are awesome and as a baseball fan who has only been to games in a dozen parks, it is pretty cool to see the graphics from the different baseball parks.
The game is well designed and BIG fun.
