Good gear, good game September 4, 2008 The zapper has good design for holding the controlers, the game is also fun. It's worth the price.
Zapper takes it to another level... August 28, 2008 Just purchased the Zapper and have been playing Ghost Squad and man, what a blast it's been.
It makes for a much more satisfying and immersive gamining experience than using control pads (which have always prevented me from really enjoying any shooting games).
I'm lookin forward to other games that the Zapper enhances and also plan on buying the new pistol.
FYI: You can change the control set-up (at least for GP) so that you fire with the Z trigger (like a real gun) and perform actions w/ the B trigger which makes it even better; Nintendo really got this one right!
Perfect for the casual gamer. August 28, 2008 My husband got this as a gift and I'm not much of a video game gal, but I loved the game that came with the Wii Zapper. I like the way the gun handles, too. I could see this game not really appealing to the hardcore gamer since it is probably easy to master. But if you are the wife of a guy who enjoys video games like I am and can't get into the more complex games this is a good one to play together!
Good game, so-so accessory August 19, 2008 This review isn't easy, as you get a good and bad in one box. On one hand, Link's crossbow training is a ton of fun. After Wii sports, this was actually an enjoyable party game, and something that my wife picked up quickly, and she isn't exactly one for video gaming. With that said though, the zapper itself isn't something that is totally necessary. I found it easier and a bit more accurate to just keep the nunchuck and remote out, but on the flip side, for a more 'authentic' rail shooting experience, the zapper is something that you'll want to keep and use. I'd still buy this over again for Link's Crossbow training alone, hopefully Nintendo will expand on it as a mini game come the next title in the Zelda series.
Surprisingly I Had Fun w/This! August 12, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this for a gift for my boyfriend's son and was pleasantly surprised with the game that came with it. We all tried it out and I became pretty competitive (But of course was no match for my police officer boyfriend who blew us all out of the water with his skills!!) Nonetheless, I actually had fun with this and am contemplating getting one for my Wii system! I will say that my controller seemed to have the battery life sucked out of it a lot quicker though...which didn't make that much sense to me, but that's the only thing I noticed. For $20, this really offers a lot!!
