Great for those who have the right ears... August 19, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This product has great sound and stays on your head throughout workouts. The only thing that has me, and this is most probably user specific, is that even though it came with three different rubber sized fittings, I found it hard to get a seal. The seal is important to get the deep bass sound that these do have when properly adjusted. The four star rating represents my difficulty in having to fidget and adjust to get a proper seal, otherwise this would have gotten a five star rating as it does everything printed on the package and are great for those who are active and need a good set of headphones that stay put and are relatively out of the way.
Not Comfortable Without Help August 14, 2008 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I was looking for a replacement for my Sony MDR-EX81's. Both the 81's and the MDR-EX71's I owned broke within a few years. I wanted a model that was specifically designed for working out, or moisture exposure, as I like to run a lot.
At the very first run, these began causing pain at about mile 2. Apparently the small amount of pressure these apply near the speaker was enough to irritate me.
The second time I used them, I relieved a little weight by wearing sunglasses over the outside of them. That seemed to work perfectly! I also found comfort in wearing a visor, and passing the flexible "behind the neck" portion up under the visor strap in back of my head.
Sound quality is comparable to the MDR-EX71/81, which I thought was a good value. I listen to pop and rock music.
Hope this helps!
Awesome Headphones! August 13, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I have been looking for a set of headphones for working out and many always fall short, but these are PERFECT! Great sound, great fit. The design keeps them in place even when running. I have finally found the perfect head phones for any type of activity!
Hands Down Best In-Canal Ear Bud for Running August 6, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Absolutely great for running and working out. I have tried a dozen headphones for running in the past couple of years. Purchased these 3 hot/sweaty months ago and used extensively since. Has provided my first ever completely unencumbered runs with great sound (no annoying cord bouncing, buds falling out, cord tugs, sweat-blocking, etc.).
I've read other reviews that cited bass and other sound issues. I think it's safe to assume that they didn't realize or understand that these are in-CANAL ear BUDS and have to be inserted in the ear as such. If you're looking for in-EAR vs in-canal speakers (in-ear allows you to still hear traffic & other sounds for safety), I would highly recommend the Sennheiser MX70 Sport.
A really good value at $50, let alone Amazon's discounted price - thanks Sony!
Not worth the money July 30, 2008 1 out of 7 found this review helpful
I thought this should be better than $7 sony earphones but the sound quality is the same. Only good thing about this is the it fits into the ear from the back. Its not worth $35 I paid
