This remote does exactly what it's supposed to do and is a huge improvement over the 550 series which I previously had. The rechargeable battery makes the price difference worthwhile. This remote is durable and very easily programmable. It is also laid out very nicely.

This is the 2nd Harmony remote I've purchased, the first being a 659 two years ago. I still use the 659, which took the place of 7 remotes.
I use this to control the following:
Samsung HL61A750 61-Inch 1080p LED Powered DLP HDTV
Onkyo TX-SR605 7.1 Channel Home Theater Receiver (Black)
Onkyo DV-SP405 Progressive Scan DVD Player with HDMI Output Black
Phillips DSX-5500 satellite receiver (waiting for new unit upgrade to HD)
I didn't bother with installing the cd, I just downloaded the latest version of the software. It took me 15 minutes to configure the remote. I took the time to write down the model numbers as the software was downloading.
How does it work? It works great! Just as with the 659, only no batteries to replace. The charger means I have a place to store the remote ( the biggest problem I had with the older 659 was, where did I put it?). The wife just has to pick it up, push "Watch TV" and all the right equipment come on. As some posters have stated, if there's a problem, the help button really does help solve the issue.
I expect this remote to last for a long time. No regrets here.
This is a no-brainer, you'll love it.
Good remote but with a major design flaw November 28, 2008
I owned two of the Harmony 880's for a couple of good years. The remotes are great but there is a known design flaw that prevents me from giving this a 5 star rating. Of course I am talking about the charging contacts in the base. It was so frustrating to try and keep the remotes charged. I had to resort to placing a small candle for weight to get them to make contact. And even then, sometimes they wouldn't.
I replaced the 880's with two Ones and am happy to state that the Ones get a 5 star from me.
Great Product on my second one! November 26, 2008
So this is my second Harmony 880 the volume button on the first one went bad after 2 years, so I went ahead and ordered another! I love this remote and my wife couldn't watch TV without it. She was actually mad when I bought the first one but after a day she was hooked! She has since said that we can't be without one ever again! So there you go guys with wives who can't deal with the TV setup it's perfect for them! Now I would have give this 5 stars but the only problem that I have with this is that Logitech hasn't come out with an accessory to control a PS3! All they need to do is come out with some kind of USB IR receiver and it would be perfect!

This is the 3rd logitech harmony remote I have purchased, suffice to say I like these remotes, shipping was fast, product arrived as promised. A+++.
