4 out of 5 stars Hooked on WII hooked!   June 24, 2008

Hubby wanted this game and I was happy to oblige. This game is awesome for the Wii. I wouldn't recommend it for younger players under the age of 8-9 because they get bored waiting for the fish to bite.

It is very realistic and the fishing rod that comes with the game is great. Our only gripe is that you cannot control the main menus while your remote is in the fishing rod. A minor annoyance. There is amateur and pro mode. The graphics are typical WII... so don't expect 360 or PS3 graphics. It is fun and it get you extremely sweaty. Who would have thought that fishing is actually work.

Would highly recommend to add to your catalogue of games and especially for fishing enthusiasts or for those who have been fishing in the past and miss it.

2 out of 5 stars controller broke on first day   June 22, 2008

The kids love playing this game. Unfortunately, the controller broke on the first day. I wrote to the manufacturer's customer service dept 3 weeks ago and still have heard NOTHING! Would not buy from this manufacturer again.

4 out of 5 stars Game is great, but...   May 27, 2008
The game is great, but the remote fishing controller is sort of awkward. It works and is able to see the tv IN THE GAME ONLY, not the wii menu but, like I said, is kind of awkward. The game is awesome. You can use classic lures like the popper-a, buzzbaits, etc. Reeling the fish in is a little tough though. You cannot set the drag and have to move the rod to adjust the tension. It taks a while to learn where the fish are in each setting. In this game it seems that all of the fish are picky about the lures which only makes this game more realistic. I would suggest this game to people who are serious about fishing and like realism in games. The graphics are a little iffy, but the overall game is worth the money.

5 out of 5 stars Very fun to play   May 24, 2008
I bought this game for my son, it was for his birthday. He really enjoys playing, and I do too. It is challenging though, just like real fishing. I haven't had any problems with the fishing pole. Some people have said that it has fallen apart, but I would rather play with the fishing pole.

5 out of 5 stars Another Wii game that scores   May 3, 2008

If you love fishing you will really love this game. I think it was one of the better made games so far with the Wii.

I can really see them doing other ones in the Hooked! series - Deep sea fishing, Bass, Ice fishing, etc.

The only downgrade on this is putting the fishing pole together is a pain in the butt.
