Lot's of variety September 14, 2008 This is one of the better wii games that I purchased. This game is fun, and has many of the games you would find at a carnival. There are many games to play, so you can practice one particular game really well, or just enjoy the variety of games that are offered. I really like their version of "Skeet-ball". I think this game is great for a crowd of people because there really is something for everyone.
The graphics are good, and the controller is easy to use for these games. You will find games you are good at. As you play the games, extra levels are available to enhance the games. This is a really nice touch, so you don't get bored with any one of the games too soon. I highly recommend this game you can come back to this game again and again.
Good as a diversion September 12, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Carnival Games is one of the first titles my wife and I purchased for our Wii (based upon the recommendation of one of my wife's friends). The games use the Wiimote exclusively and make pretty good use of its motion-sensitive functionality.
The games are all the kind you'd expect to find being run by Carnies at a State Fair's midway...the kind you know are rigged, but you play anyway hoping to score that over-sized stuffed bear for your sweetheart. So, they're amusing and often challenging, though I've found the shooting games to be extremely easy. On the other hand, some of the indirect aim games are really difficult (like flip the frog into the lily pads, or bounce the ball into the colored cups).
It's a good family game. Good for a diversion when you want to play some quick time-wasting games with friends and family. They don't have any depth; we're not talking about an epic 40+ hour plot, here. This is really just a collection of minigames.
Despite their lack of depth, I have to say, any games that can get your non-gamer spouse gaming with you is a good thing!
One of the better Wii games September 10, 2008 We have about 13 Wii games and several of them are just okay. They get played a couple of times and then collect dust. Carnival Games is fun and is continually brought out when someone wants to just play a game for a bit. It's a group of small mini carnival games that are somewhat challenging and can be very addicting. I highly recommend this game!
Good Game September 7, 2008 This was very fun to play with my 5 year old daughter. She enjoyed playing with it for a few weeks but then was bored with it.
This game is great September 7, 2008 This game is enjoyed by our whole family we have all found carnival games that we like and play the wii as a family. I think everyone would enjoy these games like I said there is something for everyone.
