Worth the Points August 22, 2008 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
I got this from http://www.rewards1.com/index.php?referrer_id=341134 for doing some surveys and it was totally worth spending 18 points for. Its better than the one that came with the wii because those cords alway look so thin and I'm always afraid the cord will eventually snap. Although you always have to turn the sensor bar off when your done using it I think it's still worth the points.....maybe not worth $18 but deffinately worth the points.
Did anyone mention the annoying and blinding blue light? August 18, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I agree with all of the other reviews. It's a great idea and does the job well. It is frustrating to have to turn on the device separately sometimes. I'm not sure how long the batteries last yet and that could change my opinion in the long run, but overall I like the device. Among all the complaints out there, I just wanted to throw one in about the very bright blue LED light on the front that's on to show when the device is on. It really is quite blinding and distracting when playing because it's aimed right at your face. That problem is solved with a little black tape, but it's just another little quirk the device has that makes it a little more annoying. It could have been better, but, like I said, it does the job.
Wonderful replacement August 8, 2008 The wireless sensor bar is perfect!. I recently broke the bar that came with my system and I found this one on amazon. It works great. You have the option to setting the auto shut off timer to off, 1 hour or 2 hours. And if you have it on off, all you have to do to turn it off is hold the button down for a few seconds. It gets great range and the communication between the bar and the remote is very good. This is perfect for people that have kids who pull on cords or chewing animals. It removes the cord completely. I really recommend this with some rechargeable batteries. It far surpasses the sensor bar that comes with the system.
Pros: No Cable - Cons: Batteries August 6, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The cable of the wired sensor that comes with the Wii was too short for me so I bought this wireless sensor. It works well but requires 4 new AA batteries every 15 hours of gameplay or so. When the battery power starts to decrease, the movements on the screen start to be shaky and the pointers become much less accurate. The coverage angle (up/down) seems more narrow than the original sensor bar but it seems to have a wider range (you can sit further away from the sensor). Note that this works with any Wii (US, JP or EU).
better range than the stock ! August 3, 2008 this has better range than the stock one! if you have range problems then get it if not stay with the original!
