3 out of 5 stars Wii Perfect Shot review   August 29, 2008

In theory, this is an excellent product for the Wii. But, how effecive and more importantly, how much fun it is depends allot on the game you intend to use it with. If the game is a straight, bare bones shooter, it really is perfect. But for games such as Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicals, it does not work out as well. The game makes use of several buttons on the Wiimote, but the Wii Perfect makes it difficult at best to get to those buttons with the split second timing required. Overall, its not a bad purchase for anyone I don't think, but with certain games can have a ruinous effect on the overall experience.

5 out of 5 stars Awesome!   August 21, 2008
This is the gun I've been looking for! It Owns nintendo's official zapper. This is gun shouldn't be used for small children because the grip handle is a bit big for my small hands. One thing is that the orange part that holds the wiimote in slides off sometimes and pushes the wiimote up, which is bad because the nunchuck conectors could be bent. Another things is that the A button and the rest of the buttons up top are a drag to push (like if a zombie attacks you and it says push "A") it kind of hard to press. Lastly the triger is a bit slow ( you have to spend a bt of time breaking it in) Otherwise this is a great gun for Wii Play, Resident Evil (umbrella Cronicles), House of the Dead, Ghost Squad and the VC game POP.

Note: You have to remove the wrist strap BEFORE inserting the Wiimote or it will not work.

5 out of 5 stars Best gun accessory for the Wii to date...   August 13, 2008

I'm surprised the previous reviewer gave it just one star. I have both the Wii Zapper and the Wii Perfect Shotgun, and the Perfect Shotgun wins hands down. While the Zapper is too small, made for the grip of an 8 year old, the Perfect Shotgun was clearly designed for an adult hand. And the aiming (House of the Dead & Umbrella Chronicles) is very good. The only drawback with any accessory is that not all Wii games are compatible. Make sure before you buy a game that it's compatible with one or all gun accessories. Resident Evil 4 heartbreakingly is not :(

I bought this with interest in going hunting & it was ridiculous waving all over. Either stick with 360 or PS Family for 1st shooter games.

4 out of 5 stars Good product, lots of effort to shoot   August 10, 2008
The gun holds the controller well and uses the b button to shoot so it works only with games that shoot using the b button. If the game uses the A button to shoot (Resident Evil) you shouldn't use this gun. My only complaint is the trigger is stiff enough where you really have to work to pull the trigger fast enough to kill the enemies. Good gun overall.
