 Wii Sensor Bar April 5, 2008
Definately a good investment if you take your Wii outside the home. I would recommend carrying extra batteries, which you should do anyways for the controllers. Great product for the price. Sensor bar had no problems allowing controller to pick up sensor bar until the batteries got low. A must for traveling wiis.
A Must have for the Wii! March 30, 2008
Haven't had a problem with this item, works great above or below my 1080p HDTV, would recommend it if you love your Wii and one less wired item in the mix.
 Battery Powered March 28, 2008
I bought the sensor bar thinking that it would help. The problem is that to leave it on permanently drains the battery in about two days. Also, it has this timer thing on it that beeps but does not turn it off--it just keeps beeping until you turn the thing off. Other than that it is a great product. Much better than the one that comes with the Wii. I just wish it didn't chew through batteries so quickly.

I picked up the Nyko Wireless Sensor Bar for my new wall mounted HDTV. It works well, and it comes with a set of batteries, though I've got quite a few AA rechargeables already for my remotes. You don't have to use the timer if you don't want to, and in my situation, it isn't that big of a deal to manually turn the sensor on and off. The packaging was pretty interesting, coming in a hard plastic tube which I guess you can store your old wired bar or this one. If you're in the market for a replacement sensor bar and don't want to bother with making one yourself, this one is a quality third party accessory.
 Doesn't work for me March 27, 2008
After swapping in the Nyko wireless sensor bar, my Wii cursor becomes choppy and tends to jump all over the screen. It's no help adjusting the remote sensitivity in Wii settings - I couldn't get the two flashing dots at any sensitivity level. I had to swap back the wired Wii sensor bar.
Perhaps I've received a defective unit. I've contacted Nyko support by email and has yet to heard back.
The two stars I give are for the its good looks and the ease of use. I would have given this a 5 star if only I could get it to work.
