Noticeable difference - somewhat March 8, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Cables will make the picture improve (480p to 1080i) but is NOT that noticeable. The graininess improves, but don't expect the graphics to change remarkably. Remember the wii is NOT a PS3 and the resolution is limited! :P Worth for the price, but see if you can get a cheaper one, because I don't anticipate cheaper cables being any different.
good but not on everything February 22, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
While it makes the Wii Channel pages look good it dosn't make all games look High Definition. I played Mario Galaxy and these cables made it look great in HD but some games like No More Heros is blocky and is visualy awful. But overall if you have an HDTV this is a definite buy.
Is this thing for real? February 22, 2008 3 out of 25 found this review helpful
After reading many stellar reviews from this site, I was sure that this would be a decent buy. With the Nintendo branding, you can't go wrong, right?
Before I plugged in the component cable, I decided to turn on my Wii with the composite cable to get an accurate comparison. Composite = grainy, blurry. Component = sharp, pixelated. By the way, i have a 52" Sony Bravia LCD HDTV.
With the settings configured for 480p and widescreen, the aspect ratios still seem a bit off. I haven't turned on my Wii since then. Thank God for Xbox 360 and 1080p.
Nintendo cable is utter garbage. February 20, 2008 3 out of 40 found this review helpful
This cable is so thin I could barely see the thing. Must be Nintendo's signature quality... The picture with this cable is aweful, and I have horizontal interference lines running through the picture. The resolution is so low and pixelated. God I hate nintendo and I wish I had never got a Wii, I get constant error messages with it. Nintendo is garbage and so is this weak cable. I thought this 'Nintendo brand' cable would be the best since it was made for the Wii, but I was wrong. I'm sure that Monster would be a better bet, or even some junk like mad catz.
Outstanding product. February 7, 2008 Just received it today, hooked it up and noticed the difference immediately. I played Tiger Woods '08 and could see things much clearer than before with the standard hook ups. Everything was brighter and crisper for the other games, Wii Carnival and Sports. My guess is for other games it would also create the same clarity. Buy this product if you have a HD TV and you want the best picture possible (with the Wii).
