Absolutely terrible. The directions that they come with are wrong. I had to call the company to find out that the blinking lights are actually buttons that you have to push down to have them link together. When I played a game the nunchuck automatically moves the people forward and you can stop it. Makes playing action games very difficult. I am sending them back to amazon.
Great! May 27, 2008 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Great nunchuk's - my only complaint is that my paperwork didn't tell me about the sync buttons. It says they sync on their own within 1-2 seconds. That's all. Well, mine didn't. I looked online and apparently found an updated version of the paperwork that comes with them - a quick start guide I didn't have in my package. It tells you to push the blue light up buttons to have them sync. Works like a charm! The dongle even fits inside the silicone "glove" for the Wiimote that came from Nintendo. (just stretch it gently)
Go wireless or go home May 22, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
While Nintendo sits on their thumbs on the wireless nun chuck project; Nyko capitalizes and fills the void that true Wii fanatics have been waiting for. Nyko did an excellent job on the Wireless Kama Nunchuck; they are the only manufacturer on the market with the exclusive wireless feature, it's priced nice and the fun factor is insane. Reading some of the reviews posted here I was skeptical about purchasing a set, but all doubts were omitted and replaced with sheer, undiluted fun and excitement; from the moment I pulled the Nun chuck out of the box, it was well crafted and engineered with the gamer in mind. The wireless feature makes a big difference over the standard wired nunchuck, and for the inexpensive price it's worth picking up two sets. Also I found that using Energizer high tech batteries will increase the life span of this hand-held menace. Overall Im completely satisfied with the quality, price, and features that Nyko's wireless nunchuck has to offer and would recommend it to anybody that is looking to increase their fun-factor.
A great wireless nunchuck solution - don't hesitate! May 22, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I was skeptical to get this when I saw the price tag and the amazon reviews it's received - but then I found very positive reviews for it on youtube, CNET, and IGN, and decided to make a purchase. I made the right choice. The controller is very sturdy, responds the same (motions, buttons, stick) as the original nunchuck, minus a few completely insignificant differences (i.e., the C and Z buttons are now transparent, and the C button is now slightly larger than it was before. Both improvements, in my mind) is attractive, and even includes a wrist strap! In fact, I would even say it performs slightly better than the original nunchuck. It should be noted, however, that you need to power on & off the nunchuck, and when you first set it up you need to press the sync button on the kama and the dongle that attaches to the wii remote (these 2 things are done via two buttons on the face of the kama, power and sync, and the sync button on the dongle, all of which don't get in the way at all). This is easy to do, and isn't a problem. Again, I don't see why this controller has received such poor reviews; it's a great little device. I don't ever want to go back to the wired nunchuck!
[edit] - I forgot to mention: you can still use the wii remote jacket with the dongle plugged in!
Why have wires when you can be wireless... May 22, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Just received this a few days ago and it works great. I've tried it with many different games such as Wii Sports (boxing) and Metroid Prime and I have had no problems with it and having the freedom of wireless makes the gaming experience much more fun. As for the battery life I have clocked in about 15 or so hours of gameplay with the Kama and it's still running strong. I totally recommend this product to anyone out there that is looking to buy or replace the Nunchuck for the Wii.
