What an addictive game! June 11, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Disclaimer: I'm not a longtime gamer or a fan of role playing games. But I am seriously addicted to this game. It's almost the only game we've played since mid March, when I got it. You can make it all the way through fairly quickly, unlocking all the levels. The mastery comes in perfecting the scores to beat, say, your roommate. I have over 287,000 pts in level 3 and had to be near perfect to beat my roomie's top score. Finding the extra ways to get points (rupees, things on the ceiling, etc) and getting those multipliers will keep the non-pro gamer happy well past the $20.00 investment. Get this game unless you want to sleep, have a social life, maintain sanity... I wish they would come out with another version soon!
Good game, annoying shell June 10, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
The Wii Zapper feels like it's designed backwards. Most games use the B button to shoot so it doesn't make sense to place the trigger assembly at the very front of the shell. I'm guessing Nintendo was trying to stay away from an overtly gun image.
The game on the other hand is completely worth $20 dollars. Sure you won't be sitting on your couch for hours trying to get one more level, but it shines if you have friends over or want to play games for only 5 or 10 minutes. Most of the level require only one button and moving the cursor around the screen, good for people that don't play many games.
I look at this as a $20 game that came with a free plastic accessory that now takes up space in my game drawer.
Fun June 8, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
We bought the zapper to play with another game, but ended up liking Link's Crossbow Training so much, we play it all the time. There are a lot of different levels and we constantly compete to get the high score.
A good beginners gun game. Worth the price June 4, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful

It's OK, but can't be used with rechargeable remotes. May 31, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
As others have said, it works fine, felt nice in my hands, the included crossbow game was ok, but it is annoying to have to remove the charger cover and battery pack and replace them with the regular batteries and cover each time you want to switch games. I have an environmental thing about disposable batteries so I prefer to use the charger, which means to use this I'll have to remember to charge batteries in a standard charger instead of just plopping the remote into the cradle after use. Meh.
On the other hand, I get bored easily so maybe it wouldn't be so annoying for someone who can spend hours-days-weeks playing the same game. The gun works great with Medal of Honor Heroes 2, but isn't really necessary so it's up to the gamer. I go back and forth between this and boxing and some two-player things that require both remotes.
If you prefer an arcade-style gun and you play for hours at a time-- or you're still using old-style batteries, for that matter-- it may be worth it to you. Ours went back in the box after a few tries because it wasn't worth it to us. It is a good price for a game alone, though, so I don't feel we wasted any money.
