5 out of 5 stars stimulating   November 23, 2008
When I bought this game, I got it for my little brother and sister because I thought this game was for kids, but despite the cartoonish appearance, this truly is a game for every age. The puzzles can get quite challenging even for an avid puzzle solver. And, even if you're more into RPG games (like myself), this can still be fun because there is a great mysterious storyline with an interesting twist at the end. Moving around the town is a little different than in most games. Instead of controlling your character, you tap, with the stylus, arrows on the edges of the screen to take you to different parts of town, and if you want to go in any doors or talk to people, you tap on them. There are the main puzzles that people give you to help you advance in the game, and there are also hidden puzzles that you find by tapping your stylus around the screen. There are also cartoon cut scenes that I thought made the game seem like a movie. Overall, this is a very fun game that is hard to put down... until you unravel the secret.

5 out of 5 stars The best DS game I've played   November 16, 2008
This game is perfect. I can't imagine anyone not enjoying this game unless you simply don't like puzzles. It's entertaining, challenging and makes you never want to put it down. I would recommend this for everyone.

i found this game to be quite difficult at times. although it is fun to play, it is a bit hard to figure out the puzzels. you definetly need to be a bit older than your average youngester. but all in all not bad.

5 out of 5 stars COMPLETELY ADDICTIVE. . .and we're in our 20s!   November 11, 2008
THIS GAME IS AWESOME. I am a woman in my late 20s and I am definitely not someone that is normally into video games, but this game is amazing!! Honestly, I am the 27-year-old girl with the pink Nintendo DS in a white case so that it doens't look like I am playing video games and normally I like Brain Age and Crossword puzzle games. I could not put it down Professor Layton! The puzzles on their own are completely challenging and fun, but when paired with the storyline it makes it even better. My boyfriend, who is also in his late 20s and not a huge video game person, also loved it. We were on vacation and we played this game every day. I liked that you could play this game with another person because you can both solve the puzzles together. Also, you can put it down and pick it up whenever you'd like, so it's good for playing on my commute to work. I think this game might be too difficult for young children, but teens and adults would like it. My only complaint is that it ends when you solve the puzzle! I would HIGHLY recommend this game for anyone that likes puzzles!!

5 out of 5 stars Not just for kids. Has challenging Logic Puzzles. Love it!!   November 4, 2008
I got this in the 3 for 2 deal and I am so glad I did. It is fun to follow the mystery story but it doesn't stop there. Each time you proceed forward they stop you to solve a problem. I must admit I've had to try more than one and I'm only 10 puzzles into the game.

I play all the Brain games and thought this a great choice to still be challenging my brain but having a bit of wimsy. Highly recommend. For children you have to be able to read as parts are spoken and others are written.
