Cool DS March 1, 2008 This is my family's first DS. The color is so cool, and the paw print is of a real good quality. Ithought at first it would rub off with time. But its there to stay. The DS came bundled with the Best Friends version of nintendogs. Maybe for some it will get boring after time. But I must say we've had it now since Christmas, and it only gets better. Especially once you get the feel of the competitions. The agility comp's is the easiest and can get you 1000 bucks per win. We just bought our beach house, but they're still renovating. And I'm real eager to move in. After all, it cost us 50,000 dollars. So, we are having real fun with this game. I really recommend this game, if you're a concerned parent who does not want their children to play with those violent and senseless games.
DE-LITED!!!!!! February 27, 2008 Nintendo DS Lite Gold with Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass (NDS Bundle)
Purchased for my 14 year old daughter. She couldn't have been more pleased. Very hard to find the Zelda: Phantom Hourglass Bundle. She and her friends are obsessed with Zelda and this really made her birthday special.
don't doubt the stylus control! February 15, 2008 I was looking for a DS for ages, and I was rather skeptical about using the stylus for all of the controls in Zelda, so originally I didn't really want to play it. I saw this bundle package on Amazon, and simply had to have it, being a veteran of Zelda since the first game, and an enormous geek, i had to get the gold one with the Tri-force logo. I was hooked within minutes of playing Phantom Hourglass, the graphics are simply amazing for a handheld system. It's really simple to use the stylus to control Link, the game is pretty easy, but achieving 100% will definitely test you. The story is a direct follow up to the Wind Waker, it's always nice to play a Zelda game where the story isn't about Ganon kidknapping Zelda for the millionth time (though i love those games as well). The DS itself is a great system, the mario and castlevania games are amazing, and I would recommend this to anyone who can't decide between a DS and a PSP.
Good Stuff February 13, 2008 Great game, Great system, but I would recommend investing in some screen protectors for the DS, because it will get pretty scratched up the more you use it.
And for those of you who rate this game/system as a 1-star because you have a hard time opening the box...I'm fairly certain that a five year old can open this box. I highly recommend that you invest in a box cutter and some night school/tutoring.
From a Legend of Zelda fan February 13, 2008 This is my first handheld video game system and I am having so much fun with it. The touch screen is great and I didn't even know about the microphone. Using both, there are candles to be blown out, people to call out to, dusty maps to blow off, notes to write, etc. It was a lot of fun and the story line caused me to laugh several times. The puzzles are fun and challenging, making you want to replay the game over and over. With the same feel as Link to the Past and Four Swords, and the look to Windwaker, you have a great game on your hands. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a fun time and a look into what the DS can do.
