I purchased this DS console for my daughters birthday.. i cant complain on the quality of it.. looks etc.. everything works just fine.
As a former PSP owner tend to compare and really miss the music / picture / internet browsing abilities even though i heard there would be a new ds coming soon so... as a gaming console it is perfect! lots of games that means complete availability.. perfect for a kid. If you are looking for something with more conectivity go for a psp...

Purchase for my 7 yr old son-what a great gift! It is giving him the incentive to complete his work and help out with little things(like picking up after himself).

I already have a nintendo DS, but if I didn't, I'd buy this one in a heartbeat. I think it's a wonderful idea, and with so many women--young and old--sporting a DS in their purses and backpacks nowadays, I think this is a must.
