Nice, and More Reliable Than The DS Lite!! July 14, 2008 I have owned this little hand-held for awhile now. I have never owned a DS Lite but my friend let me play his for awhile. I bought this version because that DS Lite was too bright and could cause eye strain or seizures. This one is more reliable. Some people have noted that the DS Lite's Hinge can break easliy, but the DS has a re-enforced Hinge. But now my DS is becoming a little slower at reading games, i'm wondering if I should get a DS Lite or a Original DS?
ds sucks March 7, 2008 1 out of 5 found this review helpful
i only gav it 5 stars so people would read this lol the ds sucks compared to the psp i have a psp and ive played a ds at my frends house the ds would prob be good for younger people although alot of the games are boring and have no replay value(my frend has mostly every ds game out because hes rich) but the psp can play music, movies, games, u can go on the internet and u can now listen to the radio and take pictures wen u upgrade the firmware and the psp is lik 170 dollars now and the ds is 130 its only 30 dollars more so its not a huge jump in other words save ur money and buy a psp trust me your going to hate the ds compared the psp
Great Game But It wearss out after A While January 8, 2008 I got a Nintendo DS 2 years ago and already the L Button and the Hinge to the Top Screen have already Broken the L Button Broke a year ago and the top screen broke after it was acidentally dropped on Plastic Floor Covering that keeps our carpet white because we all have Office Chairs. Now I am having to send it to Nintendo and Pay the $75 to have the L button and the Hinge fixed or replaced. The same Thing Happened to My friends Nintendo DS.
GET THE DS LITE December 14, 2007 3 out of 5 found this review helpful
There is a differance between DS and DS Lite. Except that the DS Lite screen is brighter and has 4 settings of brightness. The original has one setting of brightness and not as bright as the Lites. Not even the lowest setting of the brightness in the DS Lite is brighter than the original DS. The DS lite is much more smaller and much more comfortable to hold than the original. The original has a pretty bad desighn. The lites has and awsome desighn.
Very sturdy but fun November 22, 2007 I've dropped my DS once or twice on a concrete ground, and the only thing that broke, or half broke, was my Action Replay. The DS only got a little scratched, but it still works really well! The battery life is very good, the graphics are decent (very good, according by the tiny little cards the games are), and the sound is great. The touch screen needs common sense. By that I mean DO NOT press hard on it! A lot of people I know do that and, what do you know?! Their screen is all scratched up and they complain about it and say they don't know what happened! My touch screen is a little dusty, but still works completely fine. 5/5.
