Very Fun Sims Game April 14, 2007 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
This is definitely one of my favorite DS games. In "The Urbz: Sims in the City", your character, with help from various other characters, tries to save the city from an evil man named Daddy Bigbucks.
The good things about the game: 1) The missions are fun and challenging. Some don't take much figuring out while others take time. 2) There are many characters and each have their own interests and it doesn't matter whether they are in the same rep. group (richies, artsies, etc.), they don't always agree on the same subject. 3) You get to buy furniture and decorate your character's house any way you want. As far as I know, as long as it fits you can put as much furniture as you want in the house. 4) It's fun to walk around the city and explore the various shops and places when you first discover them. 5) You can create a pet when you unlock the feature and it can follow you around everywhere. 6) Saving and loading is quick and easy.
One not-so-good thing about the game: In the beginning, the character is constantly in need of something whether it's food, rest, tv, etc. This makes it hard to complete missions quickly, especially if you need a certain level of skill.
I really enjoyed playing this game and every once in a while I play it again. Great game!
it comes solely in English language January 9, 2007 0 out of 10 found this review helpful
After buying it for my DS, I disappoint that the only language that handles is English, unlike the The Sims 2 DS that detects the origin of the DS and selects the language in automatic form. I had to sell it in auctions by Internet to buy the version to me of the Gameboy Advanced
Hi November 14, 2006 2 out of 16 found this review helpful
I got this game the same time I got my DS. It was a little boring because if you peed on the ground you would go to jail. you hve to buy everything. you would pass out if you dont eat food. over all it was a fritty fun game.
sims meets rpg November 2, 2006 17 out of 17 found this review helpful
The Sims Urbz is a game that combines the features of the Sims(everyday living obligations) plus the Rpg games of the 80s(Think of Kings Quest). It is set in a NYC type of environment. Your mission, whatever group you choose, is to foil the plans of Daddy Big Bucks.
What I like: 1. You can save your progress. 2. Unlike the other simulation games that use the DS platform (think Nintendogs), if you want to lay off for a few days, fine; you can pick up where you left off. There is no dehydrated and starving Sim to worry about. 3. It has a Kings Quest format. I enjoyed that game on PC.
What I didn't like: 1. The instruction manual is not complete. There is nothing about saving the game or placing an item in your living quarters, for instance. I had to figure this out through trial and error. 2. Unlike Sims 2 for DS you cannot play with another DSer. 3. Does everybody have to use inner city lingo?
