LOTS OF FUN!! January 4, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I have both Cooking Mama and Cooking Mama 2. I like this one the best. It is has much more to offer. My 14 year old loves it too. lol. This is a great game to just pass the time. It can also be very challenging at times though.
More of Mama - and that's not a bad thing! January 4, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I myself have only played for a few minutes but those few minutes were a blast.
On the other hand, my children had a sleepover where they played COOKING MAMA, both 1 and 2 ALL NIGHT LONG!! The game kept their attention, they helped each other and there were a lot of laughs. The game helps to learn to work more adeptly with the stylus and is fun.
Nice additions are enabling the player to change mama's outfits. This time, we can also hear Mama, my girls LOVE hearing the "even better than Mama!!", the ultimate compliment.
We still have loads to go on this and I suppose some people will get through it quickly and the replay value will just not be there but for the younger ones, there seems to be a LOT of replay value.
Working towards the rewards is enjoyable and an attainable goal for those little hands not quite as skilled with the stylus. While it seems that some games seem to be near impossible, the game here really does seem geared towards a younger crowd. I'm not saying that's a con. Additionally, just seeing the wide variety of recipes and what countries they are from can add a little learning to the mix as well.
Well done! (no pun intended).
loved it, but rather confusing to figure out some things January 2, 2008 actually, to refer to the first review, the bonus that you do get can be used. I figured it out after a while, When you get the to screen and you look at the write in diary, things you've received like the kitten or lips, eyes. you can decorate your book entry. Maybe you guys could figure it out. I mean as you guys all said that the first one was good, i have yet to play that, so perhaps ill buy it to see what you guys are talking about. This was a fun first DS game i have bought so I am very pleased. Maybe, if they come out with a cooking mama 3 , it may be like the wii game, cook off but as of now, being my first game, i would like to say it is a fun interactive game and it entertained me to cook all the international foods.
Hard but fun December 31, 2007 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This game is hard but fun. There is one part that I cannot pass. I don't know about you, but this game is fun. You can cook with charecters other that Mama, but I like Mama because she shows you the rules. The makers definately did better on the first one, in my opinion.
Cooking Mama 2 December 29, 2007 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
I'm nine years old and this game is really fun. In this game you use your skills in cooking. Whoever reads this should buy this game because Cooking Mama 2 is the only game I really play!!!!
