I love this series. I wish the cartoon network would play it more often at a more reasonable hour! Also, wish Viz would start releasing more box sets so they can make money. Bleach has tons of fans, fans who want the series on dvd or even better on their tv screens! :D So I say we need to hound VIZ and get them to release Bleach more promptly and in more box sets. :D
Bleach is a tv series with a cast of fun, attitudal, kick butte teenagers that have a lot of fun fighting and saving each other from a terrible super natural enemy. This is, next to Naruto, the best anime I have ever watched or ever enjoyed.

For someone who like Anime, but is very picky about what kind I like, this one is most definitely one of my favs. On top of that, something that is common to most Anime's released in America, you can choose the original Japanese voices with english subs, or go straight for the english dubbed.

I perfer the japanse subbed version, but still Bleach is one of the greatest anime and managa series ever, regardless of what langauge it is in. I read both the manga and anime, and the first arc is extremely good, even from the first episode. I don't know what the sixth scent crap the amazon review was talking about, but a Death God/Soul Reaper/Shinigami (whatever you what to call them) named Rukia shows up in Ichigo's room. A hollow appears, and his family is nearly killed, and Rukia is too injured to fight. Ichigo is left with two choices, die or become a Death God. He becomes a death god, but in the process takes all of Rukia's power. Now, the powerless Rukia enters a human form, and uses Ichigo as a subistute Death God to her powers come back. Unfortunley, Rukia falls a little too much in the world, and this creates a great couple of last episodes. The first few are just great adventures, and some past stories for Ichigo and Inouie. After that though, from episode 16 and up we go into the start of a huge story arc, though that just starts what the second and third are all about. Easily, one of the greatest anime and manga series ever created. Includes first 20 episodes, all are great, and none are filler.

Every seller has this item at $100 to $250. don't get ripped off. You can buy this product at walmart RIGHT NOW for around $35.. I just saw it there lastnight.

The first story arc of the anime, Bleach, is one of the most unforgetable and captivating stories I have ever seen in an anime. Ichigo, who along with some members of his family, possesses the unique ability to see lingering spirits. This ability however gets him into trouble whenever an evil spirit called a hollow comes after him looking to devour his soul. He is saved by a Soul Reaper named Rukia, who is badly injured in the process. Soon enough the hollow comes back and the only way Ichigo can save his family from the hungry spirit is to become a soul reaper himself by sapping the powers out of the incapacitated Rukia. However in doing this he gets a lot more than he bargained for. Because Rukia gave him her powers of as a soul reaper she is unable to perform her duties(killing hollows, sending spirits to the other side, etc.) and Ichigo must do it in her stead. This series of events sends him on an unforgetable roller coaster ride of adventures that eventually brings him to the gates of the spirit world. If you are a fan of good anime, this is a season you absolutely have to own. Buy it, its worth the 70 dollars(psst dont buy it from amazon. u dont need to pay 200 dollars! your local best buy has it for 70!) Look forward to the release of the boxed second season. It is way better than this as hard as that is to believe, but trust me you will thoroughly enjoy this animme.
