4 out of 5 stars Best as an supplementary set.   June 5, 2008

By all means a good set. I was happy to have bought it.

Those expecting a difficult or well-built set will be disappointed, simply because that is not what it is designed for. It is for those that want to "build their army" (as the box says) of stormtroopers. I did not own any stormtrooper minifigures or blasters, and this set comes with three. For the price of $10, I think it is worth it. You get an added shadowtrooper, as well (basically a re-skinned black stormtrooper from the Star Wars Expanded Universe), which looks pretty cool.

The vehicle itself is essentially a jumble of slope pieces with a glass canopy as the cockpit. Not hard to build, not all that exciting.

Overall, this set is great because it does what it says it does, it builds your minifig army. Otherwise, if you're looking for a fun build, look for a bigger set.

5 out of 5 stars Lego Star wars Armies   June 3, 2008
If you ever wanted to build a lego imperial army this is the set for you.. get about 3 of them and you have at least 9 Imperial storm troopers. (Note that this set only comes with 3 troopers as opposed to the Clone and rebel sets.)

Good fun.

5 out of 5 stars clones go with clones   May 31, 2008

This set goes with another set that is fun. I gave it not the highest durability because the wind-sheild pops off sometimes. It is cool in the back because there is a removeable platform,(witch swings back and forth), wings that go up and down, and two blasters. The wind-sheild moves up and down, and it comes with a dark trooper. Pretty neat!

5 out of 5 stars A great set for a Lego 'quickie.'   April 23, 2008

While I'm a very big Lego Star Wars fan, I'm usually only interested in the bigger, more grandiose sets. One random day I thought I'd give this set a try, and I'm glad I did.

You can curl your fingers over the finished dropship; It has a very nice compact and durable feel to it. I finished it in about 10 minutes (not counting the time it took to separate the pieces and organize them for easier access, which I always do). A lever in the back allows a loading platform to quickly and smoothly drop troops wherever they're needed. The only thing is that the Empire's symbols on the ship come as stickers, which I hate on Legos. I wish they'd print them on the actual bricks, but it's not a big deal if you're only going to display the set; Oily childrens' hands would quickly cause the stickers to peel off.

It comes with three regular Storm Troopers and one Shadow Trooper to pilot the dropship, so for ten dollars this is a great set to help you in quickly building up your Imperial army. I might buy a few more to add the Storm Troopers to my collection and build something else out of the dropship pieces!

Overall, I would definitely recommend this set, perhaps even several for the devoted fan!

5 out of 5 stars Army of Clones   March 28, 2008

I was not a Lego Star Wars Fan until I found a display in Toy'rus. They have a display full of the clones (I would say, 100+) in a palace. I was amazed with the visual effect on this display and I fall in love with the Lego Star Wars figures at the moment.

This box set comes with 4 of the clones figure. If you only buy a box or two, you may find it interesting to play with. I personally bought over 10 box now and I have about 40 of the clones now. It's a great display for any Star Wars Fan, more over, I feel very satisfy with the visual effect it provided when I group them together with their ships.
