Totally Cool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! December 28, 2005 6 out of 8 found this review helpful
I recomend this game for everyone. It is so much fun. Once you start playing it you will get sucked into a world of adventure. You will really like it every time you play. Gameplay-10/10 Graphics-9/10 The touch Screen is always in 3d. The other screen is in both 3d and 2d. They show clips of the movie on the top screen (which you will enjoy.) This game is both easy and hard. Until the level Lemur liberation it is easy. Pn after that it gets harder and harder. I myself haven't finished the game yet but I really enjoy it. It isn't a waste of money or time.If you like Madagascar the movie you'll definetly like the game.
Madagascar December 15, 2005 18 out of 18 found this review helpful
Madagascar is all the humor and exitment of the movie in one small DS package. Marty the zebra is looking forward to celebrating his 10th birthday, but is beginning to tire of the same old dayly grind. Marty dreams of the freedom and exitment of living in the wild, and has realised that living in the zoo is no picnic. With a little help from some karate masters, aka the penguins Marty escapes from the zoo. His best friends alex the lion, Melmen the girrafe, and Gloria the hippo set off to find him in what turns out to be a bigger adventure than any of them had expected. Get ready to journey across the the ocean, around the zoo, through the streets of New York to the island of Madagascar. Along the way you will meet several new and thrilling characters, learn new talents, and unlock bonus games by finding coins in all the levels. You will help Alex, Marty, Gloria and Melman defeat the dreaded foosa, the most dangerous creatures in Madagascar and save the day. Madagascar is perfect for any age group, esspecially those who enjoy the movie. It is a little too easy at the beginning, but soon becomes more challanging and fun. I realise that alot of kids do not enjoy this game because it is non violent, but that is what makes it fun. The only thing that sells other games is the fact that they are violent, therein lies their only difficulty; but for a game to be non violent and still fun clearly makes it better designed and better entertainment. This game is first class fun for people who enjoy the movie and people who are trying to find a non violent game for kids to truly have fun with. With such funny characters, funky talents, and intreging levels, this is one of the best games made for a DS.

I collect ds games for times and my favourite is Prince of tennis crystal drive 2005 which is a japanease game. I have that game, harvestmoon monogatari, Zoo keeper, Madagascar, Zoo keeper, Puyo pop, Jump superstars, nintendogs shiba version (Jap), Naruto saikyo ninja daiketsu 3, Touch kirby (jap), Egg monster Hero and Mario 64 DS. I mostly have japanease games because they're more fun

You know that feeling of accomplishment you get after defeating a game? Don't expect it after beating this game. When I beat it (in 3 hours) all I felt was that it wasted my time. All you do is run through levels, collecting coins and dodging obstacles. The only fun things are the occasional mini-games thrown in. This game is a waste of money. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love my Nintendo DS, but COME ON! EVEN MY DOG COULD MAKE A BETTER GAME THAN THIS! As far as games, the Nintendo DS will shine later in the year. Some extremely good games are coming out, such as: Animal Crossing DS Harry Potter 4 Lost in Blue Lunar: Dragon Song Mario and Luigi 2 Mario Kart DS Metroid Prime: Hunters Moonlight Fables New Super Mario Bros. Nintendogs Snowboarding Kids DS Zoo Tycoon DS Quite an impressive list! Those are just a few of the games coming out later this year. I think Nintendo needs to release some of these RIGHT NOW! The games for DS are extremely limited and easy. All of these games will be released sometime in August-November. What I want to know is why Nintendo has had all this time to release these games, while NDS owners have been rotting away waiting for a good game, why not release some during the summer??? It would be completely logical! Kids, obviosly, do not have school during the summer so they will be left with an immense amount of free time! What are they going to do in that free time? Most likely look for a good game to play! If some good games like the ones listed above were out during the summer, a lot of kids would buy them. But the companies who created the games are being incredibly STUPID and are waiting to release the games when the school year starts, when kids will be busy with school and most likely won't be buying as many games. It's all a matter of product placement, I think these game creators are the ones who should be going to school. See, what's going to happen is that DS owners will get tired of playing the same old Super Mario DS, Warioware: Touched, or Yoshi: Touch and Go so they'll stop playing their DS. They will forget they even had one, and when all these great games come out, nobody will buy them because they have forgotten about their DS! It's getting ridiculous how much time they are wasting to launch new games! The NDS game supply has been almost exactly the same since it was launched... it was launched in November of 2004! Another good idea would have been to release some great games when the Sony PSP was launched! Even I will admit, the PSP crushed the DS and Nintendo did nothing to fight back! I used to see people playing the Nintendo DS around my school, now all I see are PSP's everywhere! That's because Nintendo made no attempt to fight back and they paid for it. I'm a through-and-through Nintendo fan, but it's hard to stick with Nintendo products when you've got all this cool stuff coming out like the PSP (Yeah, I'll admit that it's cool) and Nintendo is just sitting there, doing nothing to redeme their reputation. I, and I'm sure many other Nintendo fans, am starting to feel let down. I'm sure that no Nintendo employees read Toys R Us reviews but I wish they would read this one because Nintendo is starting to lose even the most loyal of fans! If they don't do something soon, these could very well be Nintendo's last days. I guess I got away from talking about the actual game in my ranting, sorry. Well, don't buy the game.
