Nintendo DS - Star Wars 3 May 16, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Overall, we are very satisfied with this product. It came from another vendor, and the price and shipping time were both excellent. One thing to note, when I received the shipping notification, it said "CD-ROM" in description. I immediately contacted the company to make sure there wasn't an error - I wanted the Nintendo DS game not a PC game. They were quick to respond and assured me the order was correct, and of course, it was.
OK, I guess November 7, 2006 1 out of 4 found this review helpful
The hardcore star wars fans might be dissapointed. It is nothing like ps2 or x box versions. I beat it in 2 hours. It was fun but way to short for me. Also the Graphics were worse than gameboy. There was almost no use for the touch screen :( . The star fighter missions and freeplay was the best part of the game. Oh, and you need 2 cards to play multi player
Overal: Graphics=5/10 story=7/10 music=9/10 Multiplayer 9/10 Overall=7/10
I don't recomend wasting your money on ths game
Classic Side scroll action! Awesome Jedi Animations! September 23, 2006 I have owned and loved the PS2 version of this game for a while. It sounds rediculous to buy the same title on a hand held but actually it is very much a different game.
If you look at Screen shots youll see that it is a 2-D Side scroller unlike its big brother wich is a 3-D Platform. One thing you cant see though is how Beutiful this game looks in motion. The Animations are top notch. The cartoon characters in my opinion are better than the Clone Wars series.
As far as the Jedi Moves go this game took some artistic liberties in making abilities we hadnt previously seen in Star Wars Video Games; i.e. Anakiin can jam his lightsabre into the ground and cause what looks like an electric earthquake, Obi-Wan can Hack Every enemy on the screen in seconds by Teleporting around the screen, and Mace Windu has his Fists of Fury rapid punch he used in the clone wars cartoon.
Gameplay is a bit more creative however than most Side scrollers. Unlike having 4 ninja turtles who all play exactly the same, Anikan and Ben both have to be played very differently in order to unlock their special moves; Anakin has to fight fast and stack the body count up while Obi Wan grows stronger by Using Force moves and Lightsabre Deflects. Between the technique and each character going thru different levels this makes it like 2 games in one.
The Difference between the DS version and the advance version is that the DS has some pretty good 3D Flight shooter levels that pretty much play exactly like the Space battles in Battlefront 2 and the mechanics are pretty good. The Dual Screen helps a little bit but not imensly.
As I said before this game is almost Entirely different than the Xbox, Cube, and PS2 versions except that the theme of the levels are the same since its tellin the episode 3 story. If you read all this then you obviously had a little interest to check it out so thats enough for me to PROMISE you that you will like it.
Surprisingly great September 18, 2006 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith for the DS is essentially the same game to appear on the GBA, albeit with a few great extras thrown in. Most of the levels are the same side scrolling beat 'em up style stages that made up the GBA version, but because this is the DS, there's a few 3-D space battles thrown in for good measure which make Revenge of the Sith worth picking up alone. The 3-D stages, which really show off what the DS is capable of graphically, feature a multiplayer mode with other players which is where the real fun and value of the game is to be had. As for the 2-D side scrolling stages, well, if you played the GBA version, then you know what to expect. Nevertheless, those levels are fluidly animated and detailed, and the control scheme is easy to pick up, and even though the game is quite short and repetitive, it's a blast to play. All in all, Revenge of the Sith for the DS is the best version of the game (even better than on the home consoles), and here's hoping the boys at LucasArts and Ubi Soft put together a 3-D Star Wars space shooter that will fit right at home on Nintendo's innovative hand held.
Good game June 20, 2006 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
First of all if you are planning on buying this game see the movie 1st because the game gives away the whole movie. This is a very good game. It is just like the movie even most of the dialogue is the same... anyway the game is well worth the price it has great graphics and it has 26 levels on it + special missions. and in the beginning you get to choose from obi-wan or anakin!
