Beware - doesn't import to UK! August 18, 2008 Just a warning to anyone who lives outside the US - the game will probably not work on your Wii. Do some research into whether you have a PAL (UK, Aus) version; if you do, the US ("NTSC") version you can buy from Amazon will not work on your machine.
I discovered this only after lugging the huge box across to the UK, plugging all the instruments in, and... the Wii wouldn't even recognize the disc. And it's just not feasible that I'll box it all up and lug it back to the States to ship to AMZN for a refund (not that AMZN did anything wrong here).
Word to the wise: don't try to be too clever - wait your turn :)
Most fun ever! August 18, 2008 This is the most fun I've had with a game in a really long time! Can't stop playing it...and all my friends are getting hooked on it as well and buying their own kits. Absolutely love it. We just bought the extra track pack as well and can't wait to rip into some more songs!
Ravi's Review August 18, 2008 The Rock Band is great for group entertainment. I wish that it's Guitar were compatible with Guitar Hero and that it gave th eoption to increase the point size of the lyrics.
Rockband for Wii review August 16, 2008 This is a really fun game, my son (9-year old) and I love it. It is a riot when you have three people playing at the same time.
Wii rock band su-diddly-ucks. August 16, 2008 The guitar? Awful. The fact that GH3 guitars don't work with it? Awful. The fact that the stupid guitar USB wireless dongle has that bright flashing blue light ALL THE TIME? Awful. The fact that the stand on the drum set collapses when the drums are played enthusiastically? Awful. The fact that the easy mode play list doesn't include all the songs? Awful. The way-too-long load times? Awful. The fact that the splash screens can't be skipped? Awful. The lack of player customization? Awful. The playlist? Okay, pretty good. But not enough to make up for all the other shortcomings.
EA will never get another dime from me, and I'm seriously considering boxing this thing back up, and mailing it to them with a letter that says "I'd rather be out the $160 plus shipping than ever have to clap eyes on this again."
