5 out of 5 stars Love it!   December 5, 2008

This game is really fun! I started cheerleading in Pop Warner at age 7 and kept on through varsity in high school, so I'm very happy they made this game!

At first I was a little disappointed that they just throw you into the routines. I was expecting it to be kind of like an aerobics dvd where they tell you what moves are coming next, but it's not like that (the trace lines only tell you what to do with your arms). So I just realized I had to suck it up and keep doing the same songs over and over again to memorize it. But once I had a lot memorized it became very fun and addicting! Also the instructions aren't very clear, I was doing the Cheer Off mode and couldn't figure out why it was only showing me the red trace lines, no blue. Finally I tried the Championship mode and it shows blue and red trace lines which makes it more fun. Cheer Off mode is still good practice for the Championship mode though.

The more you play this game the more fun it gets because you start to memorize it and are able to hit all the moves! Now I'm wondering if I'll even do Wii Fit anymore, this is so much more fun!

Love it!

2 out of 5 stars Disappointed by the skimpy outfits   November 26, 2008

Sorry, but I won't buy this game for my daughter. I think the outfits are too skimpy, what are we teaching our young girls? Being cute and pretty doesn't have to mean sleazy... too bad Nintendo had to make it so
"revealing." I know they are cartoons but kids tend to copy what they see. Just food for thought.

4 out of 5 stars Wee cheer or not?   November 23, 2008

I just got this game so I still need more time to practice. A little difficult at first, because it's fast paced but once you learn the routine it should be tons of fun. Great workout, even the basic routines!

5 out of 5 stars Wasted $6 on this.............   November 19, 2008

.........renting it, when I SHOULD HAVE JUST BOUGHT IT!!!! :-) I didn't believe all the great reviews, and wanted to try it out first. All of you thinking about whether or not this is a good game, don't think, just go buy it! You'll be addicted in no time. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this game!! Best game so far for the Wii in my humble opinion.

I work up a sweat every time I play. There is a workout session in it too. A quick workout, which is about maybe 4-5 minutes long and an extended workout which is about 8-10 minutes. At the end of each it tells you how many calories you've burned. A fun feature on that one before you begin the workout an overweight boy will come out and give you some reason why he is overweight and then ask you to help him get in shape. During the workout he will get skinnier and skinnier (my son thinks that's the best part, finds it quite amusing to see puffs of smoke go up from the boy and then when the smoke clears he's thinner) :-).

Even my 6 year old son got into this one. He couldn't get all the moves of course, but after a few tries he started getting the hang of it, and almost completed one of the easier songs.

There needs to be more games like this for the Wii, it really gets you moving. Now that I've done some of the songs several times, I'm starting to get a little more coordinated and adding in some of the feet movements too. :-)

So, quit debating and just go buy it, you won't regret it and it's worth every penny (even the $6 I spent renting it first!!!) :-)

P.S. I'm in my 30s (figured if others can admit to it, then so can I)!!! :-)
