This sword does not work with Zelda Twilight Princess. My son was extremely disappointed. Don't waste your money.

This is an excellent idea, just not when you have to use the pointer as it obstructs the view to the sensor bar. This limits all actions to only the motion sensor in the Wii Remote. So if you have to point at the screen, you can't, just swing, tilt, balance, etc.

In future games, something like this may be very cool, but there are no sword games out that do not use the sensor bar in some way right now. Perhaps the Star Wars game next year? We'll see. I have also seen versions of this idea that leave a space under the blade for the sensor to connect with, but even then the blade still gets in the way from time to time, so you have to be conscious of it. Regardless, this particular design definitely has flaws and unless you understand what they are, don't buy.

1 out of 5 stars Sleek look, nice price, but doesn't work.   December 1, 2007

I ordered this product for my son to use with the wii game Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. It seemed like a cool thing to attach to the wii remote and looked very sharp online. However, when he tried to use it with the game it didn't work.

The reason this is is that the sword blocks the wii remote's sensor so that you can only use the sword if you stop every few seconds to unattach it with the remote. I really wanted my son to like this product but I was sorely dissapointed. Don't even spend the money.
