This Wii dual charging station is the best. This is so much better than the one I previously had, which had to be replaced only after a few months due to the metal contacts braking. There are no metal contacts to break and you can even charge the controllers while they are in the silicone covers. I definately recommend this Wii dual charging station.

I previously had Wii contact rechargeables with a USB-powered charging station so my feedback comes from that perspective. Below are a couple of items of note for prospective owners. This info is also covered in other reviews, I am just consolidating here from my experience:
- When fully charged the lights blink vs. steady on - this is counter-intuitive to me - and is also annoying to me. I had to hide the charging station in a cabinet to mask the blinking lights.
- The initial charge took much longer than expected (24+ hours to get the blinking blue lights).
- The vibration feature feels somewhat different than what I was used to. Not better or worse (that is subjective), but definitely different.
- The new battery pack is definitely lighter than my previous rechargeables. I don't know if it is lighter that AAs.
- The charging station has to be plugged into an outlet, it is not USB connected. I would have preferred a USB connection so that I could plug it into the Wii.
- The batteries seemed to last a reasonable amount of time. I did not time them but I am not a heavy user and they lasted just fine for me.
- When the batteries DO drain down you won't get any warning from the Wii on the battery state. From the Wii's perspective they go from 100% to 0%.
- I do really like the contact-less induction charging. This is a "good thing".
Net: Good buy and I am overall happy with this purchase.
Near perfect design flawed by user interface November 8, 2008

A half dozen or so cradle chargers on the market. Wii controllers have skins--but available chargers won't charge with skins on. Skins are a PITA to remove. Removing skins hard on the skins. Enter the InCharge. Charges with or without skins and charges inductively (think of a Sonicare toothbrush). InCharge feels solid, takes controllers with or without skins, and is tolerant of how the controllers are positioned within the cradle.
Perfect design, but enter the nitwit design decision: entire civilized world uses a flashing indicator for charging, and a solid indicator for charged. Done this way since the dawn of time. People are used to it. Millions of products work this way. Sony, Nikon, Fujitsu, HP, Panasonic, etc. do it this way. So of course the InCharge engineering team decides to do the opposite. Their engineering management, product management and UI people don't stop this trainwreck. This may sound like an overblown rant, but a lot of folks, including me, are becoming intolerant of this type of bad engineering. From the flashing 12 of the early VCRs to my wireless headphones that beep 6 times, loudly and slowly everytime the audio stops for more than 10 seconds, these crappy decisions can turn a well-designed product like the InCharge into an annoyance. It works, but it irritates me everytime I see it flashing. What were they thinking.

That said, another reviewer mentioned the solution--mask out the lights. Would have been nice to know, say, when the batteries were fully charged, and would have been nice not to have to kludge the product in order to use it, but it was apparently more important for the InCharge engineers to exercise their creativity.

This is really a great product. Nice to keep silicon skins on. Easy for the kids to use. Just put in the charging cradles.
However, with the silicon skins on it will take much longer for the remotes to fully charge (12+ hours). It is a bit annoying that the lights keep flashing when the remotes are fully charged. Like another reviewer said, it would be nice if the color just changed from blue to red.
We have not had a chance to see how long the charges will last, but I think this product is very environmentally friendly.
Great for any family that owns a Wii!

I am very pleased with this product!! I've had it for a month now. I don't have to remove the silicon jacket to charge my wiimotes. You just place it in the cradle, the magnetic charging is similar to that of a Sonicare toothbrush charger. They are no contacts to wear down, rust, or corrode. I researched this pretty hard and this was the only solution that I would accept. Worth every single penny...BELIEVE ME!!
There is no better alternative.
