Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
In Resident Evil 4 you'll know a new type of horror, as the classic survival-horror action returns with all-new characters, controls and storylines. We last saw Leon S. Kennedy in Resident Evil 2 - a rookie cop in Raccoon City, fighting to stay alive. That was six years ago. Since then, government forces have managed to control the zombie threat and Leon has become a Federal agent. When the President's daughter is kidnapped, Leon tracks her to a remote, hidden fortress in Europe - where he'll relive the horror he faced six years before. Players will face never-before-seen enemies that make Nemesis seem like a kitten. You'll be wishing for the usual Resident Evil zombies!

5 out of 5 stars Edge of your seat action   October 14, 2008
This was the first Resident Evil game i have ever played. I honestly didn't know what to expect. The first time i played RE4 i was freaked out by everything. i jumped everytime something was trying to kill me (which was very often). eventually i calmed down and adjusted to the mood of the game.

As for the gameplay it is truely amazing. this game has the best graphics i have ever seen on the wii. also the soundtrack is absolutely first class. the soundeffects are amazing and add a real sense of fear and doom to the game.

there is also a very large variaty of weapons and upgrades. they all have their advantages and disadvantages and it is exciting to test out new ones.

the additional games unlocked after beating the 'campaign' are also pretty neat. you can unlock 4 additional games upon beating the normal diffuculty. there are also tons of other unlockables including special weapons, outfits, and in some cases even characters.

overall this is an amazing survival thriller and i would recomend it to anybody who is seeking an intense survival thriller.

5 out of 5 stars Great game, but a little short in my opinion   October 14, 2008
I just bought Resident Evil 4 a week ago, and I love it. The graphics are the best I've seen for the Wii. The controls on the Wii Remote/ Nunchuck are so easy to get used too. I had some trouble getting used to the way Leon moves (you can't run and shoot at the same time?). The story is interesting. The zombies are less-zombie-like which makes them a little scarier, in my opinion. Having to look after Ashley made the game a bit more difficult than would otherwise be. But it only took me 20 hours to finish, and that was me being VERY thorough, looking for treasures and what not. I usually take a lot of time finishing games, but I finished this in one weekend. However, the "mini-games" in the bonus features make up for this. Great game. I highly recommend, and at only $20 why wouldn't you buy it?

4 out of 5 stars pretty cool   October 11, 2008
Resident Evil for the Wii is pretty fun. It feels somewhat awkward at first using the controls. However, after you get use to the controls the game and story line is pretty good.

5 out of 5 stars Original, Smart, and Entertaining   October 3, 2008
I bought this game expecting to shoot a few bad guys and have some arcade style fun. I never would have guessed that there was an amazing plot with realistic characters as well as storylines. It's fun not only because of the different weapon choices but also because it scared the hell out of me. When I play it I find myself screaming when I get into a booby trap or even when I see a sudden zombie coming up behind me. Also, considering its a wii game it has the most entertaining and realistic moves possible. The best game by far for wii.

5 out of 5 stars an amazing game   September 26, 2008
This game is amazing the game twist and monsters that will make your skin crawl and have you jumping all the way to the end. In the game they speak spanish yes they say phrases in spanish and if you can understand spanish or know someone who does then you will laugh at the things they say. Any way the Presidents daughter (Ashley I think is how its spelled) get kidnaped and leon is sent to investigate a small town in spain. There they endure many chalanges and puzzles. it gets a little hard at some pionts so i used a walk through on some of it but the game is easier the second time becaues all the items carry over to the next round like other RE games. after completing the game you will unlock an infinite launcher and assignment ada where after completing that you will be able to buy a Chicago type wrighter (a machine gun with infinite rounds). I think that the Wii is the best platform to play this game on keeping you on the edge of your seat with reaction comands not like the game cube (havent seen it played on any other system sorry) waveing the Wii remote pressing buttons to doge and aiming with the remote (pritty cool). Knowing that the infection will spread to yet another game i will say this is the best RE game out as of "right now" still knowing there is probably going to be a RE5 comeing out soon!!!
