I originally got one from Target, tried to install it, it didn't work because the drivers were missing (great job Datel). Returned it to another Target and got another one from the second target. Put it in with usb cord...it literally installed itself and began working in 3 seconds. I was like "WOW". I think it takes luck to get a working Datel product. Right now I'm trying to be EXTREMELY CAREFUL WITH IT. I ONLY USE ONE CODE AT A TIME. I DONT EVEN CARE, I WANT THIS THING TO LAST FOR AS LONG AS POSSIBLE.

This product does do as advertised, but the UI and software is so glitchy and unreliable.
First off, this product shows up (if at all) as a "Mr.Gameandwatch Collection" cartridge. Not an Action Replay cartridge. This product is third party, so you really shouldn't trust it to work correctly anyways.
The software it comes with is outdated, so you have to go online and download the new software. Then you have to manually install the drivers (if on Vista or Windows 7) in an excruciatingly long process that has you open up folder, after folder, after folder. Then there is a fifty-fifty chance that it might work. If not then you have to uninstall and try again. Then you will have to plug it in via USB connection. How hard is that, you might ask? Pretty hard considering that the USB cable is no joke only two inches long, and will hang down from desktops. And because the female connector has no traction (I swear to god that is not innuendo)you have to hold it, in otherwise it will fall off.
Why is the software need? So you can copy and paste in codes. If you wish to skip the frustrations that surround the software, you will have to manually put in the codes. Sounds easy huh?
Here is a fun fact. Nintendo DSi's have a more sensitive touch screen than previous models. It is not a problem on Nintendo endorsed products, but this is third party. If you so much as nick the screen with a loose shirt sleeve or simply press a little too hard, you will press two or three other keys on the cramped keyboard. Very irritating.
And I know what you are saying, "Just backspace the errors!".
No. There is no backspace. There is a key that looks just like a backspace, but it forces you to delete the whole line. Instead you have to tap the boxes with the mistakes in it and more often then not, you will end up hitting EVEN MORE keys.
And I guess you are just saying, "Oh, how long can these codes be? Two or three lines at the most?"

No, that would be too easy.
If you happen to make a mistake, you will have to redo THE ENTIRE CODE. I was blessed to have nailed it the first time, but omg what could have been...
Trust me, this product is not worth the time and effort that it takes to get it set-up. If you really have the urge to drive through courses in "Mario Kart DS" or catch Mew in the pokemon series, than go for it. It works in that sense, but you will have to walk through the gates of software-hell just to get it working.

I got these very quickly after I ordered them (less than a week) and they came in a conveniently small package so they fit into my mailbox. There were three and they are VERY nice, they have a clear plastic tip that looks like glass, and they almost snap into the DSi. I am not worried about losing them at all and they look slimmer than the original stylus but they are exactly the same size. Would absolutely recommend as a replacement for a lost stylus!

This is definitely one of the best products ever made. I use Action Replay all of the time. It works most often, and if it freezes you just have to restart it, which takes about 5 seconds. It never goes out of date because you can put on new codes all of the time. If your computer can not load mini CDs then just type in the codes by hand; it's that easy. I used AR to beat my Mario Kart game. I totally recommend this product; it's worth $20.
