3 out of 5 stars I HAVE TO GET THE HANG OF THIS GAME....   January 9, 2008
I GOT THIS FOR MY BOYFRIEND AND HE FOUND THIS GAME SORT OF TOUGH, HE CAN'T SEEM TO GET THE HANG OF IT. BUT HE'S 44 YEARS OLD & HE NEEDS TO GET HIS 14 YEAR OLD SON TO HELP HIM AND SHOW HIM HOW TO PLAY IT. HE DOES LOVE SPRINT CAR RACING AND HE WILL HOPEFULLY REVIEW IT HIGHER AFTER HE LEARNS HOW TO PLAY IT...

5 out of 5 stars Finally a PS2 game that captures the essence of powersliding!!   September 29, 2007
Best racing game ever.

Finally a PS2 game that captures the essence of powersliding
on short dirt tracks. I play the midgets all the time - smaller
cars allow for 4 wide racing and no big wing obstructing view.
Get a steering wheel super great driving,

Difficulty - just right - I'm a casual gamer - fun but not aggravating.
many settings to adjust.

Graphics - solid never frame rate problems. Sound good.

bargain price my new favorite game

1 out of 5 stars a public survice announcment::DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!   November 22, 2006

this game is TERRABLE!!!! words cant explain how UN-REALISTIC this game is. the people that made it just sat down at their kitchen table and threw some cars and graphics together>>>LOL<<< the ONLY thing good about this game is that its only $15.00>>LOL<<

I have raced slingshots(mini-dirt modifided's) for 3 years stright, and i KNOW when i see a bad game, but THIS game really takes the cake. FIRST OF ALL put the cars BUMPER to BUMPER before a start or a restart!!! gezz i mean WTF?!?!?!?!?!?!

oh ya, and you dont race SPRINT CARS ON A FIGURE 8 TRACK!!! there IS NO DIRT FIGURE 8 TRACKS!!!! and KEEP THE D**N FANTESY CARS AND TRACKS OUT OF THE GAME!!!! kinda sensless for people to MAKE a game like this. and there is NOTHING to buy when it comes to career mode, Just a car, and stupid un-realistic parts.the announcers voice is pretty annoying too. and i cant forget the CAUTIONS(track hazords), in REAL racing, you bring out a caution whenever there is a spin,pile-up,or anyother crash. this game only has a caution if there is a flip. kinda lame.

lame prices as well, a miget costs around $20000... not $600!!!!!!!!!! you GOTTA be KIDDING me!!! keep the prices realistic!!

and DONT GET ME STARTED with the sprint cars... the first time i selected a sprint car, and took it to a track, i was basicly doing DONUTS on EVERY turn!!! sprint cars arent SUPPOSE TO BE THAT LOOSE!!!

the bottom line is that the people that made this game have NO IDEA what RACING EVEN IS... just a bunch of people trying to be multi-millionairs by selling crap like this.

Now how 'bout them yankees>>>LMAO!!!<<<<

1 out of 5 stars Reminds me of a old NES game   November 17, 2006
I browsing through the local Mega Chain Retailer's game aisle one day and came upon this game. I am big fan of racing and racing games, NASCAR, Grand Turismo, F1 and so forth so I picked up this game. When I first started playing the game the intro menu and screens reminded me of something I would have seen in an old original Nintendo game or PS1. The graphics were awful and blurry. Once the game play started it got better but that first impression was a real turn off.

The only real positive item about this game is the game play is decent. The changing race conditions with the length of show is a realistic element that makes the racing a little more enjoyable. I agree with past posters the lack or real sprint cars does take away from the realism of the game. I should have known better to than to buy something from the "game bin" but for 10 bucks it was worth a few hours of fun.
