5 out of 5 stars Fun for my Son   June 20, 2008
My oldest son wanted a video game he could play on his way to and from the beach this past May. Narnia was on his mind since we've been reading all of the books and he'd seen TLTWATW, so we bought the game. He loved it and has already beaten all of the levels, but he continues to play it for fun now.

The only thing I can go off of is his sentiment of 'I love this game!'. I hope you and yours will, too.

5 out of 5 stars narnia the game for gba   December 8, 2006

if you liked the movie, you'll like the game even more. it has very good graphics and a complex storyline and awsome gameplay. the game is pretty much built around the same plot and structure as the movie. you start out in the house when that idiot edmund hits the ball throught the window and starts an escape from the old dude and ends up in the closte with the other kids and discovers narnia(wich we all now lucy found first wich is also covered in this game before the window ball crap). then you enter diffrent tasks and stages in the game. forinstance, you fight your way to the beaver house and have to run away from the wolfes wile searching for edmund. you go throyght the tunnel and do battle with these mentally retarded yetty cow things and fight a giant one on your way out. this game has an intristing way of swithcing characters during the game like when edmund runs away and the game suddenly switches from the three other kids fighting through the snow and looking for edmund to edmund climbing the shear jagged rock faces in a blizzard to the white witches palace to edmund being locked up by the white wich and freeing the captives while escaping. so, over all this game is very obsorbing and a truckload of fun. it isn't that hard yet still some what challenging. plus its for the gba wich is made by nintendo wich means you'll never have any problems, so go buy it!

2 out of 5 stars Definitely not as good as the film   August 1, 2006

I loved the Narnia books, I loved the recent Narnia film, so I bought the Gameboy Advance game to take on holiday with me. I couldn't resist temptation and started it before I got on holiday. I played it for over 2 hours straight, and got quite far. When my hand was twisted into a claw shape, and I couldn't move or feel it anymore, I saved the game, switched it off, and went about life.

After take off, and lots of white knuckles from me, I went back to the game, determined to get past the section I'd got stuck at. (Where Peter has to get across the ice - I died every time!) Then I discovered my game hadn't saved, and I was straight back to square one, which was very annoying. I HATE having to restart games, unless I'm the one who decides that.

What really irritated me about this game was the fact that no matter how many times you killed a baddie, when you came back through, the baddie had reappeared. There was no definite way of killing them, and it really frustrated me, cos half the time, if you were travelling in a group, the others would get in your way, especially Lucy & Peter if you weren't playing as them. And their fighting skills leave little to be desired for. Peter was the best one. Susan threw snowballs which most of the time never reached their destination, and Lucy kicked. Wow.

I lost my game a couple of times on holiday, although my boyfriend managed to get it back for me, but by this time, I was fast losing what little patience I had with it, and made up my mind halfway through the holiday that I was gonna sell it without bothering it to complete it. It wasn't worth the money, it definitely wasn't easy for me to complete, and I now hate the game. Is it enough to put me off Gameboy games for life? No. This one yes.

5 out of 5 stars Entertaining but tricky   July 31, 2006

this was one of the better games I have played. The only bad part is that I get stuck a lot. Right know I can't figure out how to defeat the white witch! HELP ME!!! Anyways, If you do get stuck i'd suggest putting the game down and doing something else for 2 or 3 hours. Getting stuck usually means you've been playing to long and need a break. I also find that in the begining lucy and susan less useful that the boys but they get better as you move along. Over all it is a lot of fun and i would recomend it to anyone.
